The Dress!

A Super Sexy, Super Inspirational, Lace in the Desert, Australian Styled Shoot...

HilaryCamPhotography_p2744997427_big.jpg

When I first saw this photograph, I felt like she could have been me. A woman walking through the desert, no clear path or direction, but definitely going somewhere. That's exactly how I've felt over the past few months. On a fucking mission, without a totally clear path or straight-forward direction, but definitely going somewhere. I've taken a break from showcasing weddings + styled shoots because I have been mission-bound (oh, you'll see!!), but without the clarity I'm used to, until now. Things are coming into focus, and it's a huge relief. Actually, it's a gigantic relief. Ever felt that way, bridey? Perhaps with your wedding planning? Where something just clicks, and boom... You're through the hard part and you know it can only get easier from this point forward?

All of that said, I thought I'd start sharing weddings + shoots again with a motherfucking BANG!!! I am OB SES SED with Hilary Cam Photography. He knows it, I know it, we both know it. I absolutely LOVE his take on beauty and aesthetics. I love how he takes something simple and beautiful, and turns it into a complete eye orgasm (yeah... I just said that!). Hilary said that he was, "inspired by the idea of the modern bride who bucks tradition, who’s not afraid of colour and loves the festival scene." Bridey, I urge you to take TONS of inspiration from this gorgeous shoot.I used the word orgasm, so obviously I mean fucking business! Enjoy every.single. aspect of this shoot! I 100% did!

See what I mean about the eye orgasm? Simple, but not really. Right? A Moroccan inspired feast with dried fruit + nuts, and a delicious cake dripping in orange blossom and rose water syrups, topped with petals.

It All Started Because of a "Sarcastic, Tattooed Lady Who Loves Cheesy Horror Movies"

Skeeters_Palodichuk_JosephDixPhotography_RandallMichellePortraits29_low.jpg

Bridey, I truly hope you met your sig other because you were honest about who you are (and because you're a kind person, and super attracted to each other, obvi!). That's how Randall and Michelle met; because Michelle described herself as a "sarcastic, tattooed lady who loves cheesy horror movies..." on her dating profile, and was a "match" for Randall. And the rest? Well, you're about to scroll pics from their wedding day, so clearly it worked out well! I mean, you can 100% feel the emotion and devotion enveloped in this photograph, and frankly, I struggled to choose just ONE of these tender pics as the post opener...

Personally, I would have described myself as a "funny girl who exercises to support her cake-eating habit, and loves to dance (sometimes badly)". But, that's just me... Anyway, R+M wanted a very simple wedding that combined modern rustic with industrial, and that is exactly what they accomplished. Sooooo... they selected Highland Brewing Company because they loved the new event and rooftop spaces, and had a friend master the design and décor. Bridey, there is a ton of inspiration in this post, but my favorite tip from Randall? "Don't sweat the small stuff! Every couple will face a hiccup on their wedding day, but trust me, you'll laugh about it later." #TRUESTORY

AMEN.

Michelle changed out of her military uniform into a wedding dress for the reception. Can you believe that Randall's dress is borrowed from her cousin because she loved the style?!!!

Skeeters_Palodichuk_JosephDixPhotography_RandallMichelleReception103_low.jpg

I am obsessed with all of the fantastic shoe selections!!

Skeeters_Palodichuk_JosephDixPhotography_RandallMichelleReception111_low.jpg
Skeeters_Palodichuk_JosephDixPhotography_RandallMichelleReception113_low.jpg

When asked about the most anticipated or special moment of their wedding day, Randall said, "Our first dance. I think we both underestimated our ability to learn a choreographed dance, but it was a special moment when we felt like the only 2 people in the room. Despite our dresses getting stuck together, hindering our ability to pull off the "big dip" at the end of our dance, it was truly an unforgettable experience for the two of us."

And another pic I almost opened the post with...

Christmas Might be Over, But the Inspiration Doesn't Have to Be!

BreeannaKayPhotography_38_low.jpg

See those rose gold sequins? Aren't they gorgeous? I've seriously been obsessed with everything rose gold these days. You too? And this styled shoot? Well, let's just say that there is PLENTY to be obsessed with, starting with the rose gold, sequined wedding dress! Yup! A rose fucking gold wedding dress!! Did your mind just go crazy for a sec? Did you start daydreaming about wearing a rose gold wedding dress? I did! Right? Because it's sensational. And the rest of the details throughout this dreamy post? So cool. Just wait until you see the kickass flowers, delish Moscow Mules and the sweets! OMFG, the sweets! The cake! SO rockstar!

Bridey, this shoot embodies what I call winter warmth. Are there some Christmasy elements? Sure, but it's so fabulous because it reminds us that while Christmas might be over (Um, thank God... I was so done!!) it's still okay and pretty awesome to incorporate muted components of Christmas into a winter wedding. They don't have to be in your face to be beautiful, and these elements will add so much texture to the décor. Anyway... Enjoy this post, and be sure to pull some super cool inspiration for your wedding!

A Kickass, Retro Wedding Brimming with Amazing Style, a FAB Bouffant and Some Seriously Awesome Décor

Livingstone_Livingstone_MaineTinkerPhotography_326132957_low.jpg

Looks like this pic could have been taken in the 60s, right? I mean, collectively, Heather + Sam are rockin' some serious lashes and chops AND they're riding in a car with a gigantic steering wheel. Totally retro-fab. But, even more than that, bridey? This pic encompasses exactly who they are and what they wanted to express on their wedding day... Themselves. Their wedding embraces the true reflection of who they are, and honestly? It's fucking superb! I can't even begin to tell you how captivated I am with the details. From the hair styles, to the bridesmaids dresses to the décor to the everything else, I'm really in awe...

Did I mention that the B+G danced the night away with their guests and were totally a "groovy" couple to photograph? OMG. I can't help it with my verbiage in this post; I'm getting a bit retro with my language. Anyway... obviously, you dig... Shit. I better quit while I'm ahead! Enjoy the many beautiful and totally rad deets of H+S's wedding!

My Enormous Bridal Hangover, and the Stunning Pics to Prove it!

15032221_10154750451309810_14683237627520076_n.jpg

I am 100% hungover. Not in the traditional sense, but in a bridal kind of way... You see, bridey, I am coming off of an exceptional wedding weekend, and although I am pretty exhausted, my head hurts, and I'm achy, definitely signs of a massive hungover, I'm not. It's just how I feel after a successful weekend of wedding "debauchery".  I was lucky enough to spend an amazing weekend in Newport, RI, with my kickass B+G, and now that it's over, I feel blah... I feel empty... I feel hungover.

And although the B+G and I have been planning their wedding for only seven short months, we pulled off a serious masterpiece. Like, serious-fucking-masterpiece. Bridey, the pics I'm sharing with you are certainly not professional (taken on a iPhone) but, I believe them to be pretty fantastic. I'll share the actual, professional photographs in the near future, but for now, please enjoy... Trust me, they're so good that you might feel hungover too!

The harpist was amazing! Look in the corner... She was completely enchanting!

The room was flipped from the ceremony to the reception...

Sequins, lighting and flowers! OH MY!

Yeah... They're a HOT couple! Right? She's wearing an Oscar de la Renta wedding gown, and if he looks familiar to you, it's probably because he is the drummer for Rev Theory

It was a small, ceremonial wedding cake because we served a plated dessert and had Ben + Jerry's come and set up an ice cream sundae bar! I mean, who doesn't love ice cream?!!

Real Wedding Wednesday ~ A Super Glamorous, Super Luxurious Australian Wedding

Can I get a "OH MY GOD"? I mean... Just look at this photograph!! It's absolutely, insanely gorgeous! Right? I don't even know where to begin with what I love most about this stunning table and décor! Bridey, did you happen to see the wedding favors? Each guest got a bottle of Moët! Kinda beats a wedding cake shaped cookie, doesn't it?! Look, don't get me wrong, I love a good cookie wedding favor, but I love a delicious French champagne much, much more! Anyway, it was truly hard for me not to showcase every picture in the album, but, somehow I managed.

Bridey, I can hardly put into words how I feel about the totally fucking GORGEOUS flowers (more than 2,000 individual flowers were used in Kristi & Steve's wedding) or the metallic gold wedding cake or the two wedding dresses Kristi wore or the black dance floor, or or or!!!! The list goes on and on!!! I will let Kristi, the cool and beautiful bride, tell you a little bit more about the inspiration for this A MAZ ING wedding. Enjoy!

WOW! Look at those two dresses!

D.A.M.N.

Confetti.

That is one hell of a train!

Bridey, you know I am a sucker for how the B+G look at each other during the ceremony. And this is completely tear jerking! All the way from childhood sweethearts to the altar...

Super sexy!!

My dream car (although I really just picture it in the kickass chase scene in The Bourne Identity!)...

Kristi: I wanted our guests to be blown away, by everything! With this in mind we really had no limits set; the more glitz the better! Thousands of flowers and hundreds of candles, we wanted every element of our wedding incomparable and unforgettable.

Don't you love how the cake is reflecting the lighting?? Amazing!!

Kristi: Our wedding was glamourous! The fact that I wore multiple different dresses on the day probably showcased that. We also focused our wedding décor around the contrast of gold and different shades of red. Our reception included over 2,000 individual flowers which really popped against our clear glass furniture and gold detailing. I really do think that glamourous is the best description.

Um. OMotherFuckin'G!!! I can't... It's too good... W.O.W. FIVE layers of gold...

I mean... Kristi! You look sensational! I can't keep my eyes off of your bum!

Kristi: My dresses were very important to me; I couldn't decide between having a big princess dress, or having a more sexy, fitted dress... So in the end I decided to combine both! I also wanted to wow our guests with ANOTHER dress for the cutting of the cake, so I chose to literally match my dress with the cake and have gold detailing throughout.

Thank you Kristi and Steve for sharing your utterly breathtaking, glamorous wedding with Bitchless Bride!

Fantasy Friday ~ A True Fantasy... A Stunning Italian Wedding

I have been lucky enough to be married to my hus for 10 years. TEN YEARS!! OMG! No, I’m not an old lady; I just took the leap at a young age! But, anyway… Although we eloped to Las Vegas, a few years ago on Bitchless Bride, I wrote about what my fantasy wedding would have been had we decided to be a bit more “traditional”. And while I would still love for Prince to play at the reception, I have to admit, when I saw Julie and Deneb’s wedding submission come through, I think that perhaps I’ve changed my mind because their wedding is exactly what I would want mine to be, today.

Andrea, the talented photographer, shot this wedding in Gavi, Italy (in the Piedmont region, not too far from Milan) at a venue called L’Ostellier. Um, not only is this a beautiful location, but also, they make their own wine!! A MAZ ING! (My hus and I honeymooned in Italy, and I swear I could have stayed there for the rest of my life!) Julie and Deneb’s wedding was not only stunning, but amazingly romantic… Scroll down… You’ll see! Bridey, if a destination wedding is your plan, I highly suggest Gavi, Italy!! Enjoy!

I'm absolutely OB SESS ED with the invitations!!! Julies's mom made her dress. Talk about DIY!!! It's incredibly beautiful! This is a first for me. I have never seen a photograph of somebody cutting a wedding dress (on the day of the wedding). Although, I am assuming that it's Julie's mom, and considering that she made the dress, I guess it's okay!!The flowers are stunning, but look beyond them... That's one hell of a backdrop!!!Friends of the B+G...Julie's dad officiated the wedding... Sniff sniff...You'll see...

It's a Nice Day For a White Trash Wedding

I need to write about something funny after watching the horror from last Friday, and the news coverage from the weekend. Like most of you, I’ve spent the last few days digesting the complete evilness of one disturbed human being, and continue to be in shock and deep mourning for the people in Connecticut. So, I’m sharing with you a story that is so incredibly trashy, that you can’t help but laugh. And I think we all could use a good laugh right now. Right? Actually, if I’m honest, I swore that I wouldn’t write about this experience because of how trashy this wedding was, but now… I just don’t care. So enjoy this real life anecdote about a batshit crazy bride, her completely drunk husband and her very rich daddy.

Read Between the Lines

You know what’s NOT pretty walking down the aisle? You. You with your tan lines… Yeah… Tan lines in your beautiful, expensive wedding dress. Think about it… you probably spent a pile of money on your hair, makeup, personal trainers, facials, etc. so that you would look and feel incredible on your big day and frankly, I find it truly amazing how you can fuck it all up with those hideous tan lines. Seriously, you end up looking like some whore on the walk of shame instead of some bride walking down the aisle on her wedding day.

From Strapless to Fabulous

Girls… sorry to say, but not all of you should wear a strapless dress on your wedding day. Yeah, yeah I know I’m a bitch, but listen to me! I am pro woman, and pro all of that shit, but truth be told, YOU will be at your best on your wedding day if you listen to your instincts (or to me). If those bridal boot camp classes never happened or if you didn’t lose the weight you wanted to before the big day, it’s okay… just be sure to get the right wedding dress for your figure.
