To Boudoir or Not to Boudoir... IS There a Question?

I love a sexy boudoir photo shoot. A well-done boudoir shoot... Because when they are done poorly, man they just look trashy; however if you are lucky enough to find yourself a fantastic photographer, then I feel strongly that these pictures are powerful enough to contribute to the foundation of your marriage. HUH? What the fuck BB? The foundation of my marriage… What are you talking about?

Well, bridey, there has been a lot of controversy about these pictures due to the scantly clad nature of the layout (so to speak), but if you think about it, it’s probably one of the most erotically stimulating and sexy gestures a girl can do for not only her fiancé, but herself too. You’d be amazed at how self confident and sensual you feel during this photo session regardless of your size; no matter how big or little your boobs are and if you rock a great ass or not… And frankly when life happens, and things get tough during your marriage (because they will), sometimes all it takes is a glance at these photographs to remind yourself and the collective “you” that you had “it” once, and can easily get “it” back.

And for all of the haters out there who think these photographs are whorish and dirty, you know what? Fuck you. You don’t know what you’re missing. Go scare yourself. Try it, whether you're getting married or not and then, if you still think they are whorish and dirty we can talk, but please don’t offer your opinion unless you’ve experienced it. Because it’s very easy to judge without knowing, and to disregard something fabulous because you are afraid of it.

Now, go explore the eye candy from BB's totally amazing photographers, and then tell me how you feel about boudoir photographs.

Hi BB, Love the blog and LOVE boudoir photos, why not have a memory of how gorgeous you were.

A note about the 'trash the dress' photos (the ones with the bride in the water) PLEASE DO NOT TRY THESE. A bride in Quebec was overcome by the weight of her soaking wet dress and lost her life recently. There are many great photo manipulators that can recreate images like these without risking your life.

    Thanks, and stay bitchin

    Hey NABIS,

Oh my God! A friend just emailed me the link to the chick who drowned in her dress while trashing it! That's horrible! All of you brideys, be careful! Don't think a life jacket would be sexy over the dress, but perhaps it's necessary!!!

Thanks for your comment on the pics and the blog!

    I WILL stay bitchin'

I could care less about Bshoots. What I find odd is people posting them on the Internet for the world to see - doesn't that defeat the purpose of the whole "Only for you, baby" thing? I know that The Boy would be PISSED if I did a sexy shoot and showcased it all over the interwebs.

    Hey Cris,

I totally agree! Although, I think that happens because these chicks are so pleased with how self confident and lovely they look that they want the world to see them instead of keeping it confidential!

    Thanks for your comment ladybug!

    Damn right BB!

Why do people take one look at a BShoot and assume it was for the boy?!? F*&k what the boy thinks.

Really? A BShoot is also a form of art that celebrates the women themselves, how vibrant and full of life and GOD DAMN Sexy they feel. This is not playboy/penthouse.

Plenty of girls do it for themselves too! Ont only to preserve how damn good they look on/before their wedding day, but also after delivery of a new baby - for the 2nd time! Or finding strength in an otherwise tragic situation like before or after a Mastectomy.

    Bitch on!!

I LOVE these photos and the idea of the Boudoir shoot but, what do you DO with the product? I mean, I hardly want them on display for my MIL when she visits and I sure as fuck won't be posting them on FB.

    Hey Pissed & LBB,

I think I may love you both (or it's the healthy pour of Gin in my tonic)...

But, both of you have valid points. Pissed, I couldn't agree more! Just by posing for these pics takes "lady balls" (as my friend Sara @burnettsboards would say), and preservation (and possibly motivation for later in life) is an awesome timeless bonus of the pics.

LBB, you are too funny! I love that you are laid back, and hope it continues to stay that way. As for WHERE to put the pictures. Frame them over your fucking bed lady... Or... just have an album made for your hus and yourself to look at when you need a boost.

    Thanks for your comments!

I did a bshoot for my now fiancé a couple months before we got engaged. I keep teasing him that it was those pictures that got him to pop the question before we'd been together a year!

Have fun with it and be proud of your hot self!

    Hey Darcey,

I LOVE that you had boudoir photographs taken BEFORE the engagement! How FABU is that??? And you know what? I would be willing to bet that those photos were what pushed your man to get the ring! Remind him that he's got a hot babe and... he can have you for life...

Thanks for your comment! LOVE your story!

I have nothing against "Boudoir" photos...when done in good taste. They are personal. I don't think they should be plastered on the walls on Facebook for your "fanstasy" Playboy photoshoot you always wanted...wake up bitch!

I think they're super sassy! If you're uncomfortable doing them before the wedding, why not after (as a Christmas or birthday gift)? Hello, nurse!
