Real Wedding ~ Paris is Always a Good Idea

I have a confession to make. I have never been to Paris. I know, right? How awful is that? Actually, it's almost embarrassing! Trust me, it's on the bucket list. When I picture myself in Paris, I see a baguette under one arm, a glass of wine in my hand and a cigarette dangling from my mouth (so I smoke on vacation... please don't judge me... I mean, it's fucking Paris. You gotta smoke!). Anyway...

I want to eat and drink my way through this amazing city, although the opportunity just hasn't presented itself yet. So maybe that's why I'm sharing this wedding with you, bridey. Terra and Marc wanted to have their wedding where they had their first date (poor them, it must have been tough to have their first date in Paris...), so that's exactly what they did. While I'm only showing you their stunning wedding, this FAB couple planned three days of festivities for their guests, and then got married at Marc's uncle's house.

Benjamin, their photographer, said "For Marc and Terra this was a once in a lifetime trip with the people they loved most. They wanted it documented into permanent memories." I mean... It doesn't get more heartfelt that than, right? So, bridey, let this be a lesson to you. Follow your heart, invite who you want, and make it last...

I love how Terra's head seems to be floating in the sea of bridesmaids.

Amazing photograph. I love the emotion encapsulated in the frame. And I adore the black and white!Aren't they just the happiest, sweetest couple?!!

Fantasy Friday ~ I Love a Good Time Warp! An Amazing 1920-30s Inspired Engagement Shoot

I’m a little obsessed with time travel. Like… I think I get it from my dad, who is a touch crazy like me (oops! I def have that backwards; obviously I get that from him, right?), but no matter what, we’ve both been somewhat drawn to what life was like in other decades. I think that’s why I love Nicole and Jonathan so much. Their engagement shoot was inspired by the 1920s-1930s, and apparently their wedding had a 1940-50s vibe to it (don’t worry, something tells me that you will see it showcased on BB). Seriously, how fucking cool is that? I mean, love the idea of being swept into another era, even if it is just for a few hours at a fabulous wedding.

The other thing I absolutely adore about this engagement shoot? Nicole and Jonathan clearly had fun. Just look at these photographs! They are having a ball! They look fantastic, and when they look back on their engagement shoot, they will actually remember it. It won’t just be some day that blends into all of the others, like, “Oh look, here we are together smiling in front of this tree.” Or, “Look at us kissing in front of this statue.” BORING!!!! They will remember their experience at Idlewild, a park that dates back to the 1900s. See? History IS fun! Who the fuck knew!

Bridey, I’ve said it a million times… Your engagement shoot should be something that means something to you two as a couple. Put some thought into it… Don’t just phone it in and do whatever. Take advantage of the opportunity to shine. Ahem… Okay, that’s enough preaching. Just enjoy these kickass photographs!

Suddenly, I have the urge to go to a carnival!

OMG... Nicole! You are so adorable!! So cute!

Bam! Bam! Bam!
