Sometimes photographs just speak to you... Know what I mean? Like, how many times have you looked at a picture of a piece of chocolate cake or a juicy cheeseburger, and then needed to devour some chocolate cake and/or a cheeseburger? Right? (For me, it's every time... I know... I ALWAYS have to bring it back to food...) Well, I had a similar experience as I was browsing Jenny & Matt's wedding photos. I seriously think they spoke to me. I felt like I was a guest, taking in the winery air, enjoying a fabulous meal under the tent and rockin' out to DJ Dojah!
Bridey, this is a wedding you don't want to miss! Absorb the details. Absorb the energy. And absorb the pure happiness that Jenny and Matt exude. Here's their kick ass wedding story.
From Alex of IQphoto Studio: "How did you meet?" We met while watching a Stanford football game at a local sports bar. We both went to Stanford and have many friends in common. Matt was sitting across the table from me and won me over with his wit. He was wearing a Stanford Construction shirt (he got his masters in construction management), and I said "Oh did you work construction at Stanford?" Matt replied, "actually I studied it there. You know, Railroad and Construction were the first two majors at Stanford. I wanted to do Railroad, but they don't have it anymore!" That pretty much did it for me.
"Funny/special/unique episodes?" Matt has a way making special moments even more special. For example, the night we first said I love you, he accidentally hit me in the face with an ice shot glass. The day we moved in together, he shattered my glass coffee table before i even woke up. On our engagement trip, he planned a 6-hour kayaking trip into the open ocean, and we spent the day on a desert island.
"How did he propose?" We went on a trip to Puerto Rico over the holidays in 2011. Matt knew I thought he might propose on the trip, so he threw me off the scent by telling me he wasn't going to propose. He was very convincing because at that time, he actually had no intention of proposing on the trip. However, when he saw how bummed I was, he sprang into action. In a matter of 4 weeks, he bought a ring, asked my dad for the green light, and planned a very romantic proposal on our first night in Old San Juan. Needless to say, I was totally surprised, overwhelmed and elated.
I cannot get over how he is looking at Jenny! Such a fantastic kiss too!
"Anything about your perfect wedding?" The wedding day really was perfect. We had the event at my father's home in St. Helena. It was a perfect fall day. All of our friends and family were there. Based on discussions with our friends post-wedding, the biggest hits were: the food, the wine and DJ Dojah.
I mean... The details are fucking incredible! Just outstanding!!! I love the long tables and the purple accents.
Doesn't DJ Dojah just look cool? I'm lovin' the blue turn tables!
Hmmmmmm.... What the fuck is going on here? Things are getting crazy!
What a beautiful couple!!! And a stunning wedding!!! Thank you IQphoto Studio for submitting this awesome wedding!!!
