Real Wedding Wednesday ~ A Beautiful, Rustic Nevada Wedding

I love this B+G! I love their style, and I love how they integrated so much of who they are as a couple into their wedding. I preach it every week, bridey, and Bridget and Brian practiced what I preached! They stayed true to who they are had a fucking awesome wedding! The scenery, the adorable kiddo, the beautiful ceremony and the cool ass reception say it all! There is so much inspiration within this post that I am going to shut up and let you get to it! Enjoy!

I'm kinda obsessed with this wedding gown. That beading! OMG!!Bridget, this is a stunning shot! You look sensational!Um... Look at that cutie!!I mean... How cute is he??!! Love the bow tie!!I think somebody is stealing Bridget & Brian's show! Right?Amazing bouquet!LOVE LOVE LOVE the black bridesmaids dresses! Each a little different, and all totally FAB!Okay... Let's go get married!

Real Wedding Wednesday ~ An Australian, Vintage Wedding, Rockin' a Double-Decker Bus Cake & Crêpes!!

That's cake. I know, right? A double-decker bus CAKE!!! OMG! It's seriously almost too fabulous to cut! Well... the guests will need to have dessert, right?! Anyway, I love that Nghi and Chris nixed the traditional wedding cake, and a traditional wedding for that matter, and choose to break out of the box a bit to celebrate their nuptials. Representing their strong ties to London (duh, the awesome cake!), a stunning ceremony at the Fairfield Amphitheater and a kickass reception at a the Mountain Goat Beer Brewery, they really mastered what it means to have a wedding represent who they are as a couple.

Bridey, there is so much inspiration encapsulated in these amazing photographs! Nghi's lovely Juliet cap veil and vintage wedding gown, Chris' bow tie and his bowtied men, cool centerpieces, stunning scenery, etc., etc., etc. Makes me wonder... What will your wedding say about you and groom??

Nghi chose a 1920s vintage gown and paired it with a Juliet cap veil.I love that bow ties are making a come back!Awwwwwww..... Sisterly love!Love the bridesmaids dresses, and how they're all just a touch different.Nghi's father is adorable! LOVE the hat!Probably one of my favorite bridal party pics ever! Can you feel this one???Oh yeah!!!

Real Wedding Wednesday ~ A Stunningly Romantic, Incredibly Beautiful Australian Wedding

I can't even begin to compete with what Hilary Cam wrote about Phillipa and Anurag's Wedding. I just can't! I know my limits, bridey, and frankly, he will write it better because he was there! And what's even better? This is only Day 1 (of 2), the Western Ceremony... The Indian Ceremony is on it's way! Anyway, back to how great Hilary is... Seriously, just read the first line... "I feel like photographing this wedding changed me – made me see with fresh eyes how precious our families are, the importance of far away friendships and reminded me that marriage is more than loving an individual, it is also accepting and embracing their family, friends and culture.

Philippa and Anurag met in Sydney, they now live in London but decided to have their destination wedding back in Australia at the magnificent Bendooley Estate in the Southern Highlands. This venue is overflowing with treasures, pockets of beautiful backdrops; lakes, vineyards, autumn leaves, rolling hills, golden fields and more stories then you could imagine. Philippa and Anurag’s wedding day was drenched with love, their love of music, travel, books and of course family and friends – many of their guests traveling across oceans to share in their day."

OMG! Just look at those wild horses!!Super dapper Anurag!! Absolutely exquisite!"At one point Philippa was nearly hysterical from excitement “I can’t believe today is finally here!”This is probably one of my favorite shots ever!!!Love the programs and the delicious, refreshing pre-ceremony beverage."When Philippa walked down the aisle, we all witnessed a magical moment. Golden light glinting through the pine trees and autumn leaves falling around her. The ceremony was beautiful in so many ways, the location under the pines, the perfect weather after a cold week, the ceremony and the autumn colours.""But I think the most memorable moments was when surprise guest, Abby Dobson, took to the microphone and sang “All you need is love” from The Beatles. All the guests joined in and became her backup singers erupting into song.""Equally as beautiful was when Abby sang her hit “Even when I’m sleeping” – a favourite song of Anurag’s father, he just sat back and closed his eyes listening to the music overcome with emotion."

You did it!!Um... Yeah... This is stunning!!! Soft and fabulous...

Super Stylish Sunday ~ Bow Ties are Super Cool

Honestly, when I think about bow ties, the last think I think of is how super cool they are. Right? Actually, considering how many weddings I have planned, you'd think my mind would go straight to boys in tuxedos, but for some reason I always flashback to my childhood and I end up picturing Mr. Rogers singing, "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood..." And he didn't even wear a bow tie!! So, I thought I would try to adjust my thinking, and perhaps your thinking too, by showing you some kick ass ways to incorporate bow ties into your wedding and still be cool! Ready?

I mean... Seriously, it helps that this is an amazingly gorgeous bride next to her really hot husband, but check out his fantastic bow tie! He is rockin' that bow tie so hard without rockin' a traditional tuxedo. Just look how fantastic they look together!

In case you haven't noticed, emerald green is in... All you have to do is look at the picture above to see that you don't have to be a professor (circa 1950s) to wear a bow tie. I also completely love that the bride is wearing green shoes! Right? And seriously, just look how handsome this hipster model looks showing off his very pensive, very serious look. I dig it.

There is so much you can do with a bow tie outside of wedding attire. Just look up or down at these cool photographs.... If the ideas aren't flying into your pretty little bridey head, then I suggest you keep on reading! There are invitations, menus, programs, décor... The possibilities are endless!

How could I resist this awesome Lego bow tie? I am DYING at how cool it is... Or the box of the velvet bow ties? Or the patterned ties? The options are endless, and so not boring! Talk about making a statement...

Brideys, I bet you never thought about doing your hair like this for your wedding day, right? But, it's insanely fantastic! Who knew? Just look at that perfect bow tie... out of HAIR! And that cake? You know that BB used to do pastry, so when I see a cake like this, I am in heaven. I am completely obsessed with this cake.

Brideys, I hoped that this post has helped you see that, "Bow Ties Are Cool"... Because they really are, right?
