Fantasy Friday ~ Cupcakes, Cowboy Boots and Carats

This is truly a Fantasy Friday... I mean, this entire shoot is based on a dream the photographer had! I know, right? And it's one hell of a dream, brideys! Scroll down, and read more from the "horses mouth":

Maegan Hay Imaging: "Andy & Sara's fictious nuptials come on the coattails of a dream I had in which I photographed this brilliant, elegant equestrian wedding. As a horse person I have always wanted to photograph an equine inclusive wedding, and in my dream, the wedding was the perfect combination of rustic chic (that we've all seen a million times...) and modern elegance. Kayleen's ghost pumpkins, flowers and tablescape were the perfect mix of the two styles, and combined with CLIS's simple cupcakes and Tawny and Tuesday's downhome cooking, the table was, simply put, a vision.

Photographed on a rare and unseasonably sunny Washington day, the late afternoon fall sunlight blessed us with perfect colors and sunflare that made for very minimal post processing for me. And lastly, Andy & Sara (who are real life love birds) sizzled with emotion in front of the camera and reflected in their eyes is a love for a each other even more breathtaking than the $10k sparkler that was on loan from Borthwick Jewelers in Ferndale, WA. All vendors (including Anderson Bean and Coastal Farm and Ranch) generously provided their goods and services for free in return for collaborating on this shoot. It simply couldn't have been a more perfect day, and it was, quite literally, a dream come true for this humble photographer."Such a lovely table...

Yummmmmm....I mean, it's a beautiful horse, but holy shit! Would you look at that ring?!!! Need a closer look? Then look down!!!Wowza!

Real Wedding Wednesday ~ A Lovely NYC Elopement

As much as I love showing off amazing weddings on Bitchless Bride, you know that in my heart, I definitely have a soft spot for those brave enough to just say "fuck it", and elope. Ahem... Like moi. However, this story isn't about me. It's about Serena and Steve, and how they threw caution to the wind, and ran to city hall! Don't you just love it? I mean...

I am positively dying over Serena wearing that 1950's gold dress and blue suede shoes. Plus... I'm totally lovin' the tattoo down her leg! And Steve? Well, Steve is quite a catch himself! So, brideys, if you are considering an elopement, I would HIGHLY suggest taking a que from Serena and Steve. Kickass dress, blue suede shoes, city hall and a photographer (oh... and a cupcake!)...

I would fight for that cupcake too... Looks yummy!

I love the vinyl. And I LOVE that they came packin' for the photographs!

Wedding or elopement, THIS is an extraordinary photograph. This is one of those pictures (that if your folks are still together, obvi...), that every couple should include in their album.

Cupcakes: Time to Climb Down from that Tree

Maybe it’s because I want to be alone with a pile of cupcakes at this moment (yeah… BB is nursing a gin hangover, and clearly the best remedy is something sweet and possibly even something greasy), or maybe it’s because I’m currently working with some cool-ass brides and have nothing to share with you this second, but I feel like I owe it to the world to write about cupcakes. You see, Bitchless Bride is absolutely obsessed with cupcakes and anything cake related, and when it comes time for your cake tasting, I (as your planner) always find a way to be present whether my opinion is needed or not. But here’s the thing… BB is not a fan of replacing your wedding cake for a cupcake tree.
