Modern Wedding

A Super Elegant, Super Chill, New York Wedding, Rockin' Live Music + Cocktails

Bridey, if you are completely stunned by this gorgeous wedding dress off of the hanger, just wait until you see it on the bride! OMFG! And, you know that I don’t usually open with a pic of the wedding dress (nothing against wedding dresses, but a nice photograph of the B+G is always a good way to start a post!), but I seriously think this one spoke to me. And, no, I’m not drinking at my desk or smoking or vaping or whatever… I was just moved by the beautiful details. Although, once you see it ON, it’s truly magical! Anyway, Nicole + Jon wanted a low key wedding with live music. How awesome does that sound, right? Well, that’s exactly what they got.

This B+G had their decided against a traditional wedding venue, and celebrated their nuptials at a restaurant. I gotta say, I like their style. Before my hus and I decided to elope, we put a deposit down at a FAB restaurant in Boston. Because not only did we love the food and ambiance, we wanted to break away from the ballroom, and celebrate in a space that felt more like us. That’s exactly what what N+J did! Enjoy this incredibly low key yet totally fantastic wedding!

On occasion, Jon plays the bass in a wedding band…

See what I mean about the details? A MAZ ING!

The dress + the birdcage veil = STUN NING!

Just look at those fabulous bridesmaids dresses! I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the gold, and how they’re all different!

The dress is tea length! OMG! It just keeps getting better!!

Beautiful. Such a great shot!

Woolard Callegari.004.jpeg

Great smooch!

Lovin’ this B+G together!!!

I truly love seeing all of the guests happily dancing and celebrating with the B+G! Thank you Nicole and Jon for sharing your wedding with Bitchless Bride!

When New York Takes Austin, Wedding Style!!

I knew Tara + Dan were New Yorkers... I could 100% tell by the photograph. Couldn't you? Well, maybe I'm not telling the whole truth, because when I received the submission, it clearly stated that T+D were a "fun-loving couple from New York", but let's just say that I wasn't surprised. Because not only is Austin becoming the mecca for destination weddings, but if you're from the East Coast, going somewhere warm, fabulous and fun doesn't seem too far fetched. And, I love the idea of a whole bunch of New Yorkers taking over Austin.

Bridey, aside from my intense desire to head back to Austin on the first flight out tomorrow morning, this wedding is fucking fantastic! I love how much variety the venue offers as far as space for all things wedding-y and the killer décor. But, the best part? I LOVE LOVE LOVE the vibe of the B+G + their friends and family totally KILLING it on the dance floor. Entertainment can make or break your wedding, and clearly it MADE T+D's wedding. So, go... Enjoy and get inspired to rock your wedding like this B+G!

Wedding dress heaven...

Towery Moore.001.jpeg

OMG... Sniff sniff... Love these first look pics!!

Towery Moore.002.jpeg

There are a few things I want to discuss in this photograph. First of all, having a margarita before walking down the aisle is an EXCELLENT idea. Secondly, LOVE LOVE LOVE the dark nail choice... Finally, that fucking ring! No wonder you needed sunglasses! A MAZ ING!

Towery Moore.003.jpeg

100% obsessed with this venue! GORGEOUS ceremony space!

Tara, I like your style, girl! Go get 'em!

Towery Moore.006.jpeg

Bridey, know what I love? This wedding is like three venues in one. Three different locations for three different parts of the evening, yet all in one FAB spot!

LOVE this!!

Towery Moore.005.jpeg

STUN NING décor! Like, totally gorgeous!

Oh my goodness with the fucking cupcakes! Mouth = watering. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned that I'm not eating sugar in like every post, and this photograph is torture!!!

Towery Moore.007.jpeg

This guy... I love you.

Still love you, guy!

Thank for T+D for sharing your fun and fabulous wedding with Bitchless Bride! Love it when the East Coast rocks Texas!

A 100% Romantic, Totally Modern, Fabulously Fun and Super Colorful Austin Wedding

I think you can already tell by this pic that Mary + CJ's wedding was fun, right? Totally! These two crazy cats (I have always wanted to say that!) live in D.C. and had a destination wedding in Austin, Texas. How fucking awesome is that? I mean, I love a good destination wedding to a tropical paradise, but I love seeing B+G's break out of the box a little bit and go somewhere that's fun and easily accessible. And Austin? So much fun! And there's SO much to do when you're not getting your wedding on. M+CJ purposefully selected each location so that their guests were within walking distance of downtown Austin. Now how considerate is that?!

Bridey, you know I am a sucker for the details. And the A MAZ ING deets captured in this Austinalicious wedding? Hot damn, they're good! From the lofty venue, to the long tables, to the lighting (a topic I have preached about over and over again on BB) to the "cake"... I'm almost speechless. Almost. Anyway, you get it. Now, go get inspired! I did! Not gonna get married again, but a trip to Austin is certainly on the table!

I really can't even. Can you? Now, look down!! OMG!

Alexander Polito.001.jpeg

Mary, you are stunning! I LOVE your wedding dress!!

Alexander Polito.002.jpeg

The church is so beautiful and grandiose!

Alexander Polito.003.jpeg

Can we just talk about how smashing Mary's back looks in her dress? Damn, girl!

Alexander Polito.004.jpeg
Alexander Polito.005.jpeg

See what I mean about the details? Totally breathtaking and glorious!

Alexander Polito.006.jpeg

Such a great angle...

Alexander Polito.007.jpeg

Go Mary! LOVE IT!

Yes this is a cool pic, but look in the right corner. Now look down. See the cake??

Fuck yeah! Talk about a cake cutting!!!!! Love how fun it is!!!

Christmas Might be Over, But the Inspiration Doesn't Have to Be!

See those rose gold sequins? Aren't they gorgeous? I've seriously been obsessed with everything rose gold these days. You too? And this styled shoot? Well, let's just say that there is PLENTY to be obsessed with, starting with the rose gold, sequined wedding dress! Yup! A rose fucking gold wedding dress!! Did your mind just go crazy for a sec? Did you start daydreaming about wearing a rose gold wedding dress? I did! Right? Because it's sensational. And the rest of the details throughout this dreamy post? So cool. Just wait until you see the kickass flowers, delish Moscow Mules and the sweets! OMFG, the sweets! The cake! SO rockstar!

Bridey, this shoot embodies what I call winter warmth. Are there some Christmasy elements? Sure, but it's so fabulous because it reminds us that while Christmas might be over (Um, thank God... I was so done!!) it's still okay and pretty awesome to incorporate muted components of Christmas into a winter wedding. They don't have to be in your face to be beautiful, and these elements will add so much texture to the décor. Anyway... Enjoy this post, and be sure to pull some super cool inspiration for your wedding!

Breeanna Kay.003.jpeg

Wow! LOVE the invitations! And even though it's early, I'm craving a Moscow Mule.

See what I mean about the rose gold sequined dress? Totally amazing!

Breeanna Kay.002.jpeg
Breeanna Kay.004.jpeg

Lush. That's the only word I can think of to describe these flowers. Right?!

Breeanna Kay.005.jpeg

Breeanna Kay.008.jpeg

So, I don't know if these two are a couple in real life, but if they aren't then I'm thinking they should consider it! There is such heat here!!

See the heat?!! Hand on ass. That's all.

Breeanna Kay.011.jpeg

Mouth.watering. So simple, and the color of the fruit is just popping off of this cake.

Yeah. Had to show you a close-up!! You know me and my obsession with cake!

Liverpool England, Two Fabulous Ladies, A Vintage VW Van, Some Laughter, Some Tears and Some Serious Color!!

Seriously, how could I begin this post with any other photograph? Right? I mean... Shelly is officially my favorite person in the whole wide world! Just LOOK at how she's reacting to the beautiful Katy in her stunning wedding dress after walking down the aisle. A MAZ ING! Simply.fucking.amazing. After all, this is their wedding day! And this is totally the appropriate response to all of the emotions swirling through their minds. Some laughter, some tears... Some more laughter!

Bridey, after all of the wedding planning and all of the anticipation leading up to your wedding day, it's super important to give yourself permission to feel everything. I mean it, don't hold back. FEEL EVERYTHING. Let it go. The people celebrating with you love you, and don't give a shit if you're crying with snot running down your face. Okay... ***Stepping off of my soapbox.*** But, you know what I mean. Your wedding day goes by in a flash, so don't waste time missing it! In the meantime, go get inspired by Katy + Shelly's fabulous, colorful and spectacular wedding!

Both of these pics are 100% truth.

I mean, it really doesn't get much cuter, right?

Larsen McHugh.001.jpeg

Totally gonna need this MAC lip liner and 'stick!!

Larsen McHugh.002.jpeg

I.can't.even. I LOVE you Shelly!

Sign away ladies!! CONGRATULATIONS!! Woot! Woot!

Larsen McHugh.003.jpeg

The flower girls had a fantastic time running up and down the steps at St. Georges Hall!

After the ceremony, the B+B cheered their way outside to be greeted by the guests.

Larsen McHugh.004.jpeg

Um, totally dying over the VW camper!!

OMFG. I am OB SES SED with everything in this photograph!!! Totally love Constellations Liverpool as an event space! (Side note? Katy + Shelly's wedding was only the fourth wedding at this FAB spot!!!)

An Elegant, 'Tacolicious', San Francisco Wedding Filled with Family, Fun and a Furbaby!

Bridey, how cool is that photograph? Right? Definitely a side of the Golden Gate Bridge you don't see very often! Although, I can't say I'm too surprised that Malorie + Ashley found a corner of something already so extraordinary, and made it even more exceptional... I mean, these two had TACOS at their wedding, which leads me to believe that anything is possible! TACOS! Yes, TACOS! And, on top of that, they served homemade banana pudding and whoopie pies! OMFG, if only I could have been there! But, these pics are so FAB that it totally feels like I was there (well, minus the fact that my stomach is growling!), and you will too!

The story? Well, Malorie + Ashley met at American University in DC, but the romance didn't begin until Malorie graduated and left the area (isn't that always the way?). Once they realized that what they had was well beyond friendship, they followed each other across the country. Awwww.... Sniff... Sniff... Anyway, I love their story (keep scrolling for more deets), I love their super chill and elegant vibe, and I love how they love each other. Enjoy!!

Kemper Sellers.001.jpeg
Kemper Sellers.002.jpeg

Are you dying over those bouquets? The dresses? RIGHT? Totally gorgeous!

From the bridesOur actual ceremony took place at City Hall. That was the easiest and best decision we made for our wedding day. The ceremony was on the 4th floor balcony with a handful of family and a gorgeous backdrop.

Kemper Sellers.003.jpeg

Bridey, you know I am such a sucker for a good "look", right? And, this pic is no different... I LOVE it when we catch a glimpse into a relationship simply by a captured moment. So powerful!

Hooray! We did it!!

I mean... Talk about an amazing backdrop...

Kemper Sellers.006.jpeg

From the brides: We have a French Bulldog named Frannie who we are obsessed with and treat like a child, so we knew that we needed to find room in our day to include her. After our ceremony at City Hall, one of our best friends arrived on the building steps with Frannie who was dolled up in a special bowtie for the occasion! We were able to snap a few photos with our furbaby before continuing on to the reception.

Kemper Sellers.007.jpeg

From the bridesAfter the ceremony, we surprised our friends and family with a trolley tour of the city. We drove around the Embarcadero and through Fisherman's Wharf, then made a stop at Fort Point for incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge and breaching whales. Most of our family hadn't been to San Francisco before, so this was the perfect "2-hour tour" to share the highlights with them.

Kemper Sellers.008.jpeg

From the brides: When we started planning our wedding, we fell in love with one venue only to find out that a construction project was scheduled for our wedding month. So we went back to the drawing board. Eventually, we found the perfect spot at the SF Film Centre in the Presidio. We knew we wanted a beautiful location that showcased an iconic part of the city and this checked all of our boxes.

Kemper Sellers.010.jpeg

LOVE LOVE LOVE the décor! It's light and refreshing, yet classy and elegant.

Kemper Sellers.011.jpeg

From the bridesWe LOVE tacos! And Tacolicious is one of our favorite spots in the city. Their catering is out of this world, and their event coordinator Brielle Gordon was incredible.

Kemper Sellers.009.jpeg

From the bridesWearing fancy heels for the wedding was fine and all, but we also wanted to be able to boogie on the dance floor at our reception. We had matching custom Chuck Taylor sneakers printed with our wedding logo so we could change into those after all the formality was complete.

Kemper Sellers.012.jpeg

From the bridesWe had a baking extravaganza with our mothers a couple of days before our wedding and made all of our childhood favorites. Our guests loved the selection of sweet treats, everything from whoopie pies to banana pudding!

A Non-St. Patrick's Day, Totally Stunning Destination Wedding

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I hope you all have a fabulous day/night celebrating! Due some heavy celebrations in my past that left way to much green food coloring in places where food coloring should never be, I have decided to go a different route today, and show you this totally delicious, totally kickass and totally gorgeous Cancun wedding. I mean... There's a ton of green in this post, but just not in the traditional St. Patty's Day way.  Seriously, bridey, not only do I wish I had planned Rebecca + Jeffrey's wedding, but I wish I could have been there as a guest and a friend. Just wait until you see this STUN NING destination wedding! The planner in me? Fucking OB SES SED with the design of the long table and décor. Just the fact that R+J were ballsy enough to have a one long table instead of round tables makes me shake with joy.

Anyway, this gorgeous B+G met in college, stayed together throughout undergrad + grad school, and then got hitched! Um, did I mention that they met in an IT class? Clearly, it's meant to be if you meet your sig other in an IT class, and it works! RIGHT? Anyway, aside from their shared love of travel culture, and food, Jeffrey is quite the cook, and spoils Rebecca with his talents daily. While Rebecca is no cook, she dazzles him with her baking... I really could go on and on, so I'll shut up now so that you can get scrolling! Enjoy!

Holy shit! Look up at that amazing dress! Now, look down at those shoes!!! OMFG!

Hello handsome!!

Jeffrey enjoys anything related to cars. This guy can name any car year, make and model he sees on the street... It makes sense considering he is in product marketing & strategy for Volkswagen of American.

So so so beautiful!

Probably my favorite pic ever!

Right? STFU. I can't. It's too good.

WOW!!! Just wow!

Simple and sensational!

An Industrial, Gold and Black Wedding Starring an AMC Rambler, Donut Porn + So Much More!!

I know what you're thinking, bridey. You're thinking that this pic totally looks like it came right out of a styled shoot. Am I correct? Well, I don't blame you for thinking that this is "styled", because it's SO fucking FAB, but it's actually Brenda + Luis' sweetheart table. A real couple and a real wedding. And the stools in front? Those are for guests to come by and say hello! How genius is that? Right?!!

Okay, it's obvious, that I am a l'il obsessed with the B+G and their exquisite taste, but I also love how I feel when I browse their wedding photographs. And, if I love the way I feel, I can only image how B+L feel when they look at their photos! Besides the kickass sweetheart table, the metallics and the donut display (Yup! DONUT DISPLAY!), Brenda's AMC Rambler definitely grabbed my attention. Luis fixed it up  (it originally belonged to B's grandfather) so that they could drive off in it at the end of the night. Um, how sweet is that? Enjoy this modernly fantastic wedding!! I totally did!!

Gorgeous dress... And that pearl bracelet? It was Brenda's grandmother's.

Luis! You're super dapper!!

Beautiful ceremony set...

Now that's a dip!!!! Oh yeah!!

Is that not the greatest car ever?!!

Sign me up! I love food trucks at a wedding!

Right? Isn't that so fucking FAB?!

Totally crushin' on the B+G!

I mean... Between the burgers and the donuts... The wedding is truly FOOD HEAVEN!

SO so so cute! Okay... ONE more pic of the donuts and then I will move on!

Thank you Brenda + Luis for sharing your awesomely cool and totally delicious wedding with Bitchless Bride!!!

A Beautiful Destination Wedding... All the Way From Sydney to British Columbia...

Isn't that a fantastic pic? I know, right? I'm a wee bit obsessed with this B+G not only because they planned their wedding from 7,729 miles away (holy shit!), but they decided to have it take place in a cool destination; one that was close enough to their family living in Canada and one enticing enough for their friends to make the trip from Australia (where the B+G currently reside). And while I've come to realize that I get "obsessed" with weddingy things and B+Gs way too easily, this time I think it's fair to say that there is no way I could possibly help it.

Seriously, you can completely tell from this photograph alone that Karis + Sasha are easy going and cool. And, when you see the rest of the pics, you'll understand why I fucking love them and why I want to be friends. I love (OMG, I almost said that I was "obsessed") the intricate details, coupled with the soft elegance of their palette, although I especially love that their family + friends are having a blast! Oh! And just wait until you see the dessert display! Enjoy!

Seriously? That's a damn good looking group of girls! LOVE the tanks!!

Super romantic!

SUCH a great shot.... Beautiful angle...

Now that's a bridal party who has fun together!

I mean... See why I want to hang with the B+G?

Gorgeous! Just look at the table runner!!!

Gimme! Gimme!

"You Are My Happy"... A Romantic, Chic-y, Styled Shoot with a Real Life Couple

I'm pretty obsessed with styled shoots. I love them because they give brides (and grooms) piles and piles of inspiration, and offer a snapshot of the amazing possibilities for a beautiful, often eccentric, wedding day. Even if it's only one teeny, tiny detail inspired from a shoot, that gets incorporated into the overall theme of your wedding, bridey, it's usually what has the guests talking. Right? It's the piece that wouldn't have made it into the big picture that suddenly becomes the spotlight.

As an added bonus, this romantic, chic styled shoot, involves real-life couple, Jessica + Victor. What I love about using a real couple as opposed to models in a styled shoot, is that you can 100% feel their electricity. It completely radiates from out of the photographs. Just wait... Victor is a photographer and met Jessica on a shoot; the two have been inseparable ever since. And, although I really hate that I'm about to use this fucking word, they really do swoon for each other. Ewwwww... But, no other word would do. Bridey, enjoy all of the incredible inspiration!

I love everything about this dress. The style, the tapered bottom, the lace... EVERYTHING!

Gorgeous, vintage engagement ring.

Um, hi. The flowers... The dress... The hair... Oh my!!

Damn. Can you feel that?? Total electricity!

Such stunning details on the table! I love the gold and lace!

OMFG. Seriously, give me a damn fork.

Still lovin' Jessica's hair.

And now it's time for a change...

WOW! The hair and makeup is absolutely FAB!!

I just cried over how awesome that bouquet is.

A Super Cool, Super Colorful, Retro Inspired Arizona Wedding

You know that saying that says you can "judge a man by how he treats his mother"? Well, I find that you can pretty much judge anybody based on how they treat animals. Right? Well, bridey, when you see the invitations and the wedding cake, you'll totally know that Denise and Jeremy are standup peeps. Besides their generosity to animals, they are clearly a cool couple based solely on their wedding décor and stylish taste. I'm completely obsessed with the flowers, colorful place settings, retro furniture and kickass lighting!

And, OMG! Bridey... I seriously cannot get enough of Denise's bouquet. Once this post is live, I am going to pin the shit out it. It's amongst the coolest bouquet I've seen on Bitchless Bride! No joke!! Anyway, there are piles and piles of incredible wedding inspiration for you to gnaw on... So, go for it! Enjoy!

Denise and Jeremy have too much stuff, so in lieu of gifts, they asked that their guests bring cans of pet food to be donated to a local shelter. Sniff. Sniff. Such a FAB idea!

And your little dog too...

Holy shit! That's unbelievable!!

Super dapper couple!

Gorgeous location for a ceremomy!

Denise, it's official. You're absolutely stunning!

Such fabulous vibrant colors!

Amazing colors!Amazing lighting!!

Fantasy Friday ~ An Elegant, Timeless and Classic Melbourne Wedding with a Touch of Glamour

Meet Barbie and Ken. Just kidding! And, Madeleine and Luke aren't really dolls. But, seriously... They are both so easy on the eyes that I would have believed Silvia of Blumenthal Photography if she told me she was submitting Barbie and Ken's wedding. True story. Right? I mean, all Luke is missing is that twinkle on his tooth. Anyway... I'm going to let the B+G take it away. Because, bridey, not only are the details of this gorgeous Melbourne wedding fucking incredible (like IN CRED IBLE), but I love their love story and advice to future brides (and grooms) too.

Blumenthal Photography: What’s your love story? How did you meet originally and get together?Luke and I are high school sweethearts! We’ve had eyes on each other since we were 15 years old and we’re each other’s best friends, we know absolutely everything about each other and we’ve shared so many amazing memories growing up together. I remember sitting in class with him (he was always the class clown) and he would just make me laugh so much! I suppose nothing much has changed though. To this day, I don’t go a day without him putting me in hysterics.

Blumenthal Photography: How did you choose your dress?: I knew that I wanted to have some input when designing my gown. I had a really clear picture of what I wanted so I didn’t want to buy a gown off the rack. Luckily, I found Jane Hill and it seemed like we were absolutely perfect for each other! She loved my ideas for the dress and I also completely agreed with all of her input. It was my idea for the extravagant and billowing pleating at the bottom but Jane recommended that we make the bottom pleats completely detachable and this was the most perfect idea because I was actually able to move and dance at the reception!

Blumenthal Photography: What made the day really special and personal to you?: My bridesmaids were absolute angels and really made sure that everything went smoothly! I literally did not stress throughout the whole day because of how well they handled everything. My mum and sisters kept me sane and calm the whole day so I could just enjoy myself. My mum also made the day so special for me. In the morning, whilst I was getting ready, her and dad gave me a little white box. Inside were the most beautiful pair of earrings I’ve ever seen. I want to give them to my little girl on her wedding day, and hopefully this can be a new tradition for my own family.

I am DY ING over Madeleine's dress! And, I LOVE how the bottom pleats are completely detachable! No need for bustling, and super sexy!
Blumenthal Photography: How did the proposal go?: We absolutely love travelling and being in the outdoors, and we were in Bali when the proposal happened. I remember he took me down to the beach for a sunset stroll and I didn’t really think much of it. It was a gorgeous evening as well; the weather could not have been more perfect! The tide was out and the sun was almost setting behind the water and that’s when he surprised me by getting down on one knee and taking something out of his pocket. It completely caught me off guard! I had tears welling up in my eyes the whole time, and even now when I look back on it I can’t help but tear up a little.

Blumenthal Photography: What was important to you about your wedding? What were your priorities from the very beginning?: The most important thing to us was having a wedding that would survive through the decades. We wanted a ceremony where we could look back on the photos in years’ time and not cringe at any of our choices from the wedding dress to the décor! Hence why we kept the theme timeless and classic. I really think that when we’re flipping through our wedding album, we’ll be able to look back on these photos and still adore them!

Amazing photo...
Am I wrong? Totally Barbie and Ken! I don't know if I am jealous or if I want to be married to them.
