Paper Flower Bouquet

A Colorful, Fun and Spooktacular Halloween Wedding

Sylvia_Sylvia_RyanHorbanPhotography_TravisGia492_low.jpg

I wasn't going to do it, bridey. I wasn't going to show you a Halloween wedding today. And it's not because I'm a grump or anti-Halloween, it's just because I am lazy. You see, I usually write The Truth Hurts on Tuesday's; something real, honest and educational for your reading pleasure. And, frankly, it's much easier for me than posting the pics + posts. I put my heart and soul into everything I post on Bitchless Bride, and while I love sharing real weddings with you, they take up a ton of time, and sometimes hurt my brain. But, then I received Gia + Travis' wedding, and all of that changed! I couldn't wait for Halloween just so that I could show you how fucking awesome this wedding was!

This B+G rocked the shit out of their wedding! I mean, anybody who has the balls to host a Halloween wedding is a hero in my book, but more than that, you really can't NOT (I know, double negative!) have fun at a wedding in which you can go as a zombie!! Right? Right! And, the OMFG wait until you see the décor and the wedding cake! A MAZ ING! Bridey, enjoy this kickass wedding, and Happy Halloween from Bitchless Bride!

Fantasy Friday ~ Sheet Music Flowers, Butterflies, Cool Ass Shoes, a Hog Roast and FAB Music

Bridey, imagine being in the midst of your wedding planning, and then realizing that you can't possibly squeeze everything you wanted to do into one day. Yikes!!! What's a girl to do? How do you move past this problem? It's easy, really... Just have a two day wedding!! Right? That's what Steph and Jock did! They hosted their ceremony and a BBQ on Friday night, and then had a fucking awesome party on Saturday night. Um... Like the kind of fucking awesome party which included a hog roast and live music! Sounds pretty cool to me! See? There's always a solution if you look for a different angle, bridey!

Jock’s a musician so obviously, the music had to be kickass, but why not include his love for music within the theme? Right? Seriously, just wait until you see the flowers made of sheet music and snack bowls made from old vinyl records! Totally love it! Have fun with this one, bridey! I did!

I love this stunning flower bouquet!Holy shit with the shoes!!!OMG! They all have awesome shoes!!!
Drink up Steph!Best pic ever!Lovely passionate kiss...HAHA!Smoke 'em if you got 'em!From the bride: "My family told me when my gran died that every time I saw a butterfly it was her checking in on me."

Real Wedding Wednesday ~ A Romantic, Country Chic Urban Wedding

Bridey, here's something you don't hear everyday... Allison and Paul started dating when they were sixteen and eighteen years old. Right? I mean, and they're still together and they like each other? YUP! Seriously, can I get a holy shit?!! I mean, we all can't be like BB and meet their sig other in a bar in our twenties, now can we (don't be jealous!)?! Anyway, Allison and Paul have been together for six years, and it's clear by these gorgeous photographs that they are going strong. So strong, that I can't stop talking about how sexy they are when they kiss!

I am absolutely obsessed with the venue, the John MS Lecky UBC Boathouse because of the brilliant natural light, and simple yet elegant decor. Also, I love how the bridesmaids dresses are quite spectacular, and all a different shade of turquoise. Bridey, there is a ton to love in this countryish, urbanish chic wedding. So without further ado, check it out!

Lovin' the wooden door and the chandelier...Allison's mom has passed, and this is a lovely way to celebrate her memory without feeling too sad.Hello Winston. The paper hearts this adorable flower girl tossed (and the paper flowers in Allison’s bouquet) are made from poems that Paul wrote to Allison. I mean... Happy and beautiful. What a FAB mix!
Such a super romantic kiss. Allison used the lace from her mother’s wedding dress to wrap around her bouquet... A tear is sliding down my cheek.I'm sorry, but this is so cool... Looks a bit like an eclipse.

Real Wedding Wednesday ~ A Circus, Carnival Fantasy Wedding

Bridey, I want to show you Rachel & Jake's entire wedding album. Seriously, I want to show you every detail of this Halloween wedding (from like, three weeks ago!) because it is just so fucking FAB that I had the hardest time weeding out the photographs for BB. Bridey, every single day I hear this quote from you, "I really want my wedding to be different." Well, THIS is called putting your money where your mouth is! For real, when you scroll down, you will see more of that AWES BALLS (I dunno, it just came out) paper flower bouquet, COTTON CANDY bridesmaids bouquets, the cutest flower girl ever and a fried TWINKIE.

So the next time you preach, "I want my wedding to be different...", bridey, I want to you remember Rachel & Jake's wedding. And while I don't expect all of you to get married on a carousel rockin' a 1930's circus, carnival fantasty, I do expect you to maybe take a small piece of this wedding, and make it your own. Got it?

I know this is supposed to be retro, but I keep seeing Reservoir Dogs for some reason!Seriously! Look at their view! Imagine having this shot in your wedding album! It's almost showtime! The flower girl? Makes me want to have kids... But, besides my ticking clock, the cotton candy was actually used (before it was eaten, obvi) as bouquets! (Ultimately replaced with candy apples because the cotton candy was clearly too tempting!)
