Tattooed Bride

A Kickass and Awesomely Low Key Wedding Under a Willow Tree...

I mean… THAT’S a fucking KISS! And, I LOVE it! Right? (OMG!! I even write the word RIGHT! I’m supposed to work on saying that word less according to the Bitchless Bride podcast!) Anyway, meet Stacy + David, the B+G, who lost everything they owned in a house fire a year before they said “I do”. Bridey, imagine losing your home, your belongings, and having to completely rebuild while planning your nuptials. YIKES! Such a sad and difficult time… So, it’s not surprising to me that one evening, as they sat on the porch, watching as the sun disappeared behind the horizon, they decided it would be a beautiful experience to get married at sunset. Fast forward to a Tuesday in August, S+D were married an intimate ceremony on the family property. The only guests in attendance were close family and friends, seated in white chairs next to a pond, and below a weeping willow tree.

Bridey, you know that I tend to go on and on about perspective on Bitchless Bride because it’s incredibly important for you recognize that you’re not only planning a wedding, but an ever after too. Right? And, just think about what this B+G had to endure before getting married, and think about how they persevered unscathed, together (literally + figuratively)… You’ll hear from Stacy throughout this post, and she’s a fucking rockstar. So, listen + learn + enjoy!

Stacy: My bouquet was stunning!! We went to the local florist (A.H.Christiansons), and asked if they could do succulents because I knew for sure I wanted those. I'm pretty laid back and wanted to go with the flow about almost everything. They did such an amazing job taking the multiple different photo ideas I took to them, and made my unique bouquet. All the different flowers they used really matched our rustic and outdoor wedding so well. They also made the boutonniere have a little succulent and rose to match my bouquet.

Stacy! You’re SO super cute! I love your tattoos and your tank!

Stacy: Even though we did a super small simple wedding, I knew I still wanted the traditional wedding dress. I knew I needed a strapless dress to show off my tattoos! The dress I got was strapless, had a sweetheart neckline, and was multilayered. It had a champagne colored under layer with a layer of ivory lace and a layer of simple beading. It had a long train, but not too long. As for the groom, he is tall and skinny so we decided to get a custom tailored suit. He went with a nice grey suit and got to customize the liner and everything!

Stacy’s dad drove her to the ceremony in his restored Jeep…

WOW! Look at that stunning willow tree!!

Stacy: I could not wait to finally get married! My house is actually right next to my grandparents where we got married. My dad drove me over in his old, blue jeep to then walk me down the isle. The best part of the day, was getting to marry my best friend with our closest family there.

These two? Phenomenal kissers!! Like, I can’t even…

OB FUCK ING SES SED with those boots!!!!

Stacy: My best advise for brides to be, is bigger isn’t always better. Don't stress over the details; everything will work out. We didn’t set up our actual ceremony space until 30 minutes before the wedding due to rain. Our small intimate backyard wedding was the best thing we could have done. Not only was it mostly stress free, but it didn’t take a lot of planning or decorating. So don't stress and enjoy it! AMEN to that, Stacy!!!

CHEERS!

Thank you Stacy + David for sharing your BEAUTIFUL wedding with Bitchless Bride. I love your story!!

Fantasy Friday ~ A Sexy & Sentimental Engagement Shoot

Bridey. This engagement shoot is so lovely and loving that I have no words. In fact, I am going to let Amber, the bride, share with you a 'lil something she wrote to Daniel...

"Here I am, standing at the brink of our wedding day and I haven't felt a single fear. I've not worried once that I will ever miss a day of your love. I find comfort in your feet on mine at night, because we prefer to sleep back to back, and on opposite ends of our bed. There comes a time in your life after becoming a parent that sleep is important and our "I'll meet you again in the morning time" turns into an average thing. I know that just because we aren't always physically "open" for touch that we are lacking something. I find myself everytime I lay with you, I know that where I am today is not where I would be without you. You keep me level headed when I am beyond a breaking point and clouded behind stress. You are my hot shower in the evening when I wash away the last bit of my day. You are my comfort, and you are my roots that ground me. I love you, I need you, I appreciate you."

What a beautiful shot..."Meet you again in the morning"... with a smile on my face.OMG! What a GORGEOUS babe!!Um... Sniff sniff... This pic is simply moving...Such a beautiful (and cool) couple and little family!! Thank you for sharring with Bitchless Bride!

Real Wedding Wednesday ~ A Tattoo Rockin', Cake Smashing, Vintage Wedding

I'm kinda obsessed with this photograph. Right? So fun and so personal... I mean... If this shot doesn't tell you a little bit about the B+G, Beesh and Chad, then open your eyes, bridey! Because, clearly this is a couple that likes to have fun, and doesn't take themselves too seriously. And, are you totally dying over Beesh's ensemble? I LOVE her dress, the veil, the black shoes and her jewels! Chad, you're adorable too, but Beesh definitely steals the show! (And, one day, my hair will be that color!!)

What I love most about Beesh and Chad's wedding is that their personalities shine through in almost every single photograph. It's apparent that they are having a fantastic time, enjoying their guests and most importantly, enjoying each other. And, isn't that what a wedding should be about; enjoying the person you're marrying? Yes!!!!!

Beesh! Your eyes look gorgeous! And that bouquet is FAB!I love a tea length wedding dress.Such a fun first look shot!So super cute...Seriously. The dress, the shoes, the birdcage veil... Oh my!Stick 'em up!To say that this cake is fucking amazing would be an understatement.Okay... Creepy awesome!Don't worry, Chad gets her back! Look down!Beautiful shot of the MOH!OMG! Favors that people actually like!!! Beesh! Chad! Totally in love with your wedding! Thanks for sharing with BB!

Fantasy Friday ~ A Downtown Denver, Save the Date Engagement Shoot

I am a sucker for these photographs. Seriously, look at the fabulous dip happening! Right?!! In the middle of the street... OMG! I love the element of danger (I mean, shit... there are cars coming!)... It's fun. It's sexy. And, perhaps it's because I have always wanted to be "dipped" or perhaps it's because Kiri and Michael are definitely the "cool couple", but either way, these engagement pics tell an awesome story and double as pretty kick ass save the dates too!

Bridey, if you are looking for a way to capture your engagement AND need some save the dates, then let Kiri and Michael lead the way. These pics are interesting and tell a story. I find that I am curious to see what happens next. The locations (and the "costume changes") will draw you into the web that is Kiri and Michael and entice you too!

Kiri, you are adorable! I love the look on your face! But, Michael... The way you're looking at Kiri... Hot damn.OMG. Here he goes again!Gotta love the smile kiss!HAHA! This one makes me laugh...So sexy. So cute.

Real Wedding Wednesday ~ A Blushing, Bitchless and Beautiful Bride

To say that I 'love' this wedding would be a giant understatement! Seriously, when Haylee emailed me the link to her wedding photographs, I was absolutely thrilled! There were so many fun and gorgeous elements, that I almost didn't know where to look first! That, AND the story of how the bride and groom met and where he proposed is priceless! Almost unreal actually.

The two cent tour? Haylee and Mark met at friend's birthday party, and he proposed in Thailand at the Elephant Nature Park where they were volunteering and looking after sick, maltreated elephants. Holy shit! Are you falling over yet? Because... and this is just a guess, but most of us would write a check (or maybe that's just me), and they were volunteering to take care of these poor, sick, maltreated elephants! OMG! Right? How fucking amazing is that? I mean, if Haylee didn't say "yes", then I'm pretty sure the stars would never align again! Anyway... Enjoy this fabulous wedding! Let the inspiring begin!

Apparently, they asked the kids who were invited to the wedding to share their definitions of love (as read out loud by the celebrant) and the flower girl, Ella, said "I love Michael Jackson, I wish he was my Dad." LOL!!!I love that the guys are doing shots! CHEERS!Mark is quite the catch! Haylee said, "Pretty stoke I get to keep him. He has an English accent and everything." HAHA!

DYING over Haylee's wedding dress, and those bridesmaids dresses are awesome! LOVE!!! Sorry, couldn't help it! But, I do!

Fantasy Friday ~ I WISH I Was This Cool

I think the title says it all, don't you? Everything about this wedding is my fantasy. EVERYTHING! (Oh! And it's exclusively on Bitchless Bride!!) Let's see... We have an absolutely stunning color pallet, an absolutely gorgeous bride, and frankly... an absolutely hot groom. Need I say more? I mean... Right? This wedding is my fantasy. Because as cool as I am, I will never be THIS cool.

Seriously, if it weren't for my intense fear of needles, I'd probably be covered in tattoos myself, so I find that I'm drawn to those brave enough to endure the pain of the tattoo. Not only that, but the details in this wedding are fucking fabulous! I am DY ING over the purple. DY ING! Look at how well done, and how incredible the colors are! Simple and elegant. Amazing. Wow!

So, my dear bridey, you are cordially invited to love, admire, and try to replicate this fucking awesome wedding. Let's pretend for a moment that we are all this cool. Let's pretend that we are as cool as Sabrina and Erik. Shall we? Enjoy...

If Sabrina gets any more beautiful, I think I may actually fall over.

I am lovin' the richness of the bridesmaids dresses.

OH
