Winter Wedding

A Rustically Colorful, Smashingly Romantic and "Foxy", Winter Wedding

Smiley_Ross_XSIGHTProductions_523xRoseEricXSiGHT_big.jpg

I'd like to introduce you to Rose + Eric, otherwise known as Ms. Rabbit + Mr. Fox. I'm not going to lie, I truly love it when couples have pet names for each other (my hus and I have a few names for each other, but definitely not is cool (or nice for that matter)!). And, in this case, I mean "pet" in the literal sense of the word! It all started because, one day, as these two were enjoying a lovely day in town, they spotted a red fox (um, holy shit!), something extremely rare in such an urban setting. Considering that Rose grew up in the woods, she took this "fox spotting" as a spiritual sign that it was time to tell Eric she loved him. So, she did. And, that is how it all began... From then on, Eric was the fox and she was the rabbit.

Anyway, bridey, I dare you to take this opportunity to be inspired! Don't be afraid to incorporate amazing attributes from other cultures into your wedding. R+E's wedding is exceptionally electrifying; inspired by Indian saree's and African colors. A MAZ ING, right?? And why not? There are no rules, just two people planning a day that symbolizes who they are together, and what they will be in the future. (Wow! That was deep!) Plus, there were several DIY aspects included throughout the wedding making it that much more personal and meaningful. Take a peek at Rose's shawl + the groom's tie. They were crafted by the Rose's mom. But, what I love the most (aside from the exquisite color, delicately beautiful wedding dress, DIY elements and every bit of décor)? Rose + Eric are clearly passionate for one another, and didn't go for broke to express that love and adoration. Enjoy!!!

A Seriously Kickass, Game of Thrones, "Winter" Wedding

So often a bride will approach me and say that she wants something "different" for her wedding; something unique. She wants something "that hasn't been done before". And, more often than not, that statement leaves me in the position to disappoint my fair bride with that news that pretty much everything has been done before. However, then I immediately have the opportunity to surprise and delight her by telling her that even though it's been done before, doesn't mean that it can't be done again, but better. Right? Right!

Take Abbey + Matt. They did something totally cool and "different" simply by doing something that has been done before, but done extremely well! They told their photographer, Uttke Photography & Design, that “We’re planning a non-traditional, Game of Thrones inspired wedding. Lots of gold, rustic backdrop and natural accents with a little flair. We’re trying to walk the fine line between being badass and kitschy.” And holy shit did they succeed in their badassery. From all of the cool DIY aspects to the crown Abbey wore... I mean, I can't stand the fucking awesomeness... And, even though it didn't snow in February in the Midwest and was 65 degrees (WTF?), it didn't matter. The B+G had such FAB details that the lack of snow didn't feel essential for the Game of Thrones theme to come to life. SO, go scroll, bridey! I will continue to enlighten you with the details as you go! Enjoy!

I can't even with these A MAZ ING invitations!!! Holy shit!

That crown! That dress! I want one of each!

Love.this.pic.

Are you dying over these fabulous, sequined bridesmaids dresses? Seriously, I am OBSESSED!

STFU. Wow! Another something that I require one of each...

Such a cool way of displaying the escort cards!

Matt's dad made Abbey & Matt the thrones to sit in and enjoy their feast...

Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!

Love this beautiful photograph... So emotionally charged and real. Want to hear some advice from the B+G? "Take a moment to savor all of the love and support you feel on your wedding day as you are surrounded by the ones you love most. It’s the only time that they will ALL be in one place." SO true.

You had me at caramel... Actually, you will always have me with some caramel.

Thank you Abbey + Matt for sharing your thoughtful + kickass wedding with Bitchless Bride!!!

A Beautiful Winter Wedding Rockin' Some Serious Sparkle, a Kickass Cake and SO Much More!

I just had to open up this FAB real wedding with a pic of these signs. And, maybe it's because I'm in desperate need of a drink or maybe it's because I really love the word "shenanigans", but either way, I adore the signs and appreciate the message. Trust me, I've been doing this shit long enough to see all sorts of shenanigans at weddings, and 99% of the time, it's because of an open bar. Don't get me wrong, I love and applaud an open bar, but oftentimes it's the catalyst of mischievous behavior.

Anyway... Let's talk about the B+G, Christina and Steve! I am completely enamored with their sparkly, blush palette and décor. Even with the chilly weather (OMG, I can't wait for you to see the faux fur wraps the bridesmaids are wearing!) the venue feels so warm and looks extraordinarily beautiful. Bridey, even if you're not planning a winter wedding, these ideas are completely transferable! I mean... Let's be honest, sparkle never goes out of season! So, go... Enjoy, and be inspired!!

Such a stunning dress!

Okay... OB SES SED with this super GORGE bouquet!

Christina, you should have read his note before hair and makeup!!

It really doesn't get any cuter.

They're in Michigan in case you're wondering...

Thank you. I couldn't agree more! I mean... Remember the old days? Before our phones were an appendage? Probably not, but there was a time!!!

FAB pic!

STFU with this amazing décor! Right? It's simply beautiful...

I am dying over the escort cards. See the animals, bridey? That's the indication of the guest's entrée selection.

Um. Check out that cake! So so so cool!

Oh my God. That's one hell of a dip!

The B+G are playing nice with the cake...

Thank you Christina + Steve for sharing your lovely wedding with Bitchless Bride!

A Little Sparkle, A Little Glitz and A Lot of Amazing Details... A Winter Wedding That Will Actually Make You Wish it was Winter!

Yup! You read that right! Kathleen and Dan's wedding will 100% make you wish it was winter... Like, NOW. It IS possible that perhaps it's just me, and maybe I feel this way because it's been so fucking cold every morning on the East Coast that I'm getting a little taste of winter, but I saw this wedding in my inbox, and just had to share it with you. And, if you're a winter bride, there are several amazing elements you can borrow from this lovely Canadian wedding. Starting with the dress! OMG! Kathleen's dress is kickass! Paired with a warm stole for out outdoor pics, this dress totally had me wishing I could get married again.

Bridey, aside from the awesome wedding dress, the bridesmaids dresses are rockin', and quite daring... And I love them so much! You'll see. Between the fabulous attire, and the creative aspects strewn throughout the day, you'll see why I couldn't wait to share this one with you, like NOW! Enjoy!

Um... See? Such a fantastic wedding dress!

Kathleen, you look amazing! Talk about utter happiness shining through!

I love this photograph. Just a bunch of dudes sitting at the bar, waiting to get their wedding on!

See? Totally daring! Just a shade or two off from the wedding dress. LOVE IT! And, I would totally wear this dress again...

Yeah... This happens all of the time. But, good news! Look down! He made it down the aisle (with a l'il help from dad)!

OMG... The dress has pockets! And Dan's thumb is in her pocket!

One of my favorite pics... Ever.

Definitely an attractive group!

That's one hell of an entrance!

Gimme!!! Gimme!!!

STFU!

Yeah!!!!

Thank you Kathleen and Dan for sharing your awesome wedding with Bitchless Bride!!

Real Wedding Wednesday ~ A Tim Burton Inspired, Super Glamorous Winter Wedding

As we gear up for Halloween, I thought a wedding chock-full of goodies was definitely the way to go. Although, instead of filling your bellies, this kickass wedding will absolutely fill your mind with a ton of eye candy! And, candy is candy, right? Well... this candy won't make your wedding dress tight! It will only make your brain swell with cool ideas and inspiration.

Bridey, if this post screams Tim Burton to you, it's because Lynzy and Ian are huge fans of his, and worked hard to incorporate his wild imagination into their glamorous wedding. And, you know what? They nailed it! Seriously, just wait until you see the dessert spread and all of the fucking awesome "décor". Plus, I think you're going to die when you see Lynzy's shoes.

Lovin' the invitation and that bouquet! Right? Holy shit with that bouquet!!!Best boutonniere ever!DYING over Lynzy's birdcage veil and the bridesmaids fabulous headpieces!RIGHT?!!! Aren't those red shoes are insane? And the bottoms? Holy fuck!!!Lynzy thinks that Tim Burton writes the most romantic love stories.Let's make it official!Lynzy and Ian are a damn sexy couple.

Real Wedding Wednesday ~ What Do Steampunk, Japan and Jazz Have in Common? Julia and Ben!

Probably the best part of my job is learning how the bride and groom met. Take Julia and Ben for instance. They are both from the US and yet they met overseas while studying Japan! I mean... How cool is that? I guess that sometimes all you have to do is travel five thousand miles away from home to meet your soul mate! Right? And since the day they met, Julia and Ben have been joint at the hip, so it was no surprise when they began planning their wedding in Julia's home town in Minnesota.

When it came to the wedding plans, they chose Steampunk inspired elements and Victorian costumes from the Guthrie Theatre (1920’s attire to celebrate Julia's family Jazz history). Apparently, her grandfather opened the first integrated jazz club in Roseville, MN which played host to Percy Hughes and Prince Rogers (um, Prince’s Father)!! I'm sorry, but that that's like the coolest thing I have ever heard! I love how Julia and Ben were able to build everything that was important to them into one day; certainly a day they will never forget!

I must admit, the last thing I wanted to do is post anything winter related due to the ridiculously horrid we suffered on the East coast, but this wedding was too good to pass up!!! I mean, just look at those gold Uggs!I love Julia's spunk! Her sense of humor and grace show in every picture!Gorgeous. Just fucking fantastic! Talk about bold and beautiful?!!!!Fucking top hat. LOVE IT!!!!I almost didn't want to show this you this, bridey. Because I am so sick of the snow, but it's too cute to keep it a secret! They rode to the church (and the venue) with a bus driver Ben has worked with for years at the YMCA (Ben's a youth director there).I can't... Julia, I'm no softie, but I totally teared up when I saw this pic!
