Real Wedding Wednesday ~ A Classically Chicago, Beautifully Orchestrated and Simply Stunning Wedding

Isn't that photograph incredible? I mean, it's really amazing. The venue? The Rookery Building in Chicago. According to the website, The Rookery Building is "... one of the most historically significant buildings in Chicago." "...The Rookery seamlessly combines the flair of an era gone by with state-of-the-art building systems and technology. Designated a Chicago Landmark in 1972 after being added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970, The Rookery is universally considered an architectural masterpiece." Um, I think they forgot, "An incredible venue for an elegant wedding..."

Technically, Nicole and Michael's wedding was a destination wedding. Nicole grew up in Chicago, and the two of them made their way back to her hometown for their wedding day. Bridey, I have to say that the details encapsulated in this wedding are so polished and so refined that I cannot wait to share it with you! The dress, the gold, the venue and the cake! OH MY!!!!

First of all, I love the robes. Secondly, are they in the tub? LOVE IT!!
OMG, Nicole! That dress! It's really incredible! I love the intricate detail... You look GORGE!
Michael, that is seriously one of the cutest groomy pictures I've ever posted.
OMG. SO phenomenal! I am completely obsessed with that wedding dress!
Such unbelievable architecture!
It may be good luck, but rain on your wedding day is still annoying. The ceremony was originally going to be outside near Millennium Park, but at the last minute, the call was made to have the ceremony at The Rookery. Thank goodness for plan B!
Nicole, you are absolutely beaming! I LOVE IT!!
There's something about pics in the street that get me all worked up.
Badasses.
Holy shit with this venue! Totally beauteous!
I love all of the gold accents... So elegant.
What the fuck? Is that Bambi?
So beautiful.
Thank you Nicole and Michael for sharing your truly elegant and amazingly stunning wedding with Bitchless Bride!!

Real Wedding Wednesday ~ A Fabulous Chicago Wedding at Revolution Brewery

The theme for this week is Chicago. Kidding! Well, sort of... As you know, bridey, I don't do themes, but this week apparently I do; inadvertently!! Granted, I love Chicago (that's where I'm from), but to post two weddings this week from Chicago is purely a happy accident! Maybe I'm homesick. I guess I'll talk to my shrink about it...

Anyway, I do love it when a B+G decide to get married in a bar. No, I don't have a drinking problem, but celebrating your wedding outside of a ballroom is certainly a nice break from the norm. April and David's wedding day started at the Westin River North and ended at Chicago's Revolution Brewery. The intimate ceremony and reception were hosted at the brewery; a steep yet stunning contrast to the peach and ivory florals rocked by the bride and on the tables. Giant beer barrels offered spectacular décor, and tours of the brewery were just a few of the unique aspects of April and David's kickass Chicago wedding! Enjoy!

I love every.single.thing. captured in these pics! Seriously, I may have to break down and buy those Jimmy's, I'd absolutely wear those black bridesmaids dresses, and the rock? DAMN.
More diamonds. Stunning...
WOW. Just WOW.
April, you and your dad are SO cute together!! I bet you two have a lot of fun!
Ta-da!!! The B+G shared their first look along the upper level of the beautiful riverwalk just outside of the hotel.
Okay... What the fuck is that? A balloon? Why is it there?
S.E.X.Y.
Love the passion behind this kiss.

Real Wedding Wednesday ~ There's No Kind of Love like Twitter Love...

Dar and Kerry? They met online. And, by online, I mean Twitter. Definitely not what you expected when I said that they met online. Right? Me either! And, here's another unexpected tid bit... Dar is short for Darlene (somehow, I didn't pick that up right away), and Kerry is a dude (didn't see that one coming either!). So, Dar retweeted something Kerry had tweeted, and then invited him out for coffee ASSUMING that Kerry was female! How fucking FAB is that??? Clearly, Dar was surprised by the man who showed up for coffee, but at the same time, thought he was adorable and smart. Talk about fate, right?? I mean... Holy shit! It doesn't get any fate-e-er (new word I just made up) than that!

But, outside of the kickass story of how Dar and Kerry met, their wedding was also pretty kickass! The first look was on LaSalle Street next to the church where they had their wedding ceremony, followed by a patio reception at the Douglas Park Fieldhouse, with passed signature cocktails and hors d'oeuvres & a delicious buffet dinner. Love it! And, OMG! Bridey, don't miss the naked cake and FAB décor! Enjoy!
I love it when brides wear flowers in their hair. You had me at sunflower...Picture of a picture! She's like, "Am I doing it right? Is this okay?"Bourbon bottles and branches... Love this shot...W.O.W. This cake is gorgeous. And, it's completely naked!Thank you Dar and Kerry for sharing your story and wedding with Bitchless Bride!!

Real Wedding Wednesday ~ An Elegant, "Salvageable", Sweet Home Chicago Wedding

I can't stop looking at Molly's eyelashes (and her gorge cleavage, right?)! Seriously, this is such a beautiful shot of the bride and groom that I can't stop noticing the subtle, and not so subtle details! Bridey, Molly and Paul nailed it! Their winter wedding kicked ASS! And, as you get to know them through these magnificent photographs, you'll see what I mean. They got married at Salvage One, a swanky storefront in Chicago, whose main focus "works to preserve and pass on our history", but also rocks amazingly cool space for edgy weddings and events.

But, beyond the paramount venue, Molly and Paul threw a fantastic party! Great food, great booze and a ton of dancing! I seriously think there was some break dancing happening (I mean... the groom is laying on the dance floor at one point, so clearly, I'm only left to assume that it was due to break dancing!!)! Enjoy the party, bridey!

I'll take the earrings and the shoes please!Molly! I love that you are smiling in every single picture!!That BHLDN dress is STUN NING!!! Looks gorge on you!C'mon peeps! Drinks before we hit the lakeshore for pics? Warm us up a bit?Love the foggy Chicago skyline behind them!I know it's near the zoo, but I have no idea what it's called.... Super cool structure.Fabulous!Simple, yet there is so much to look at...OMG. Paul, you're a cutie!Shut the fuck up! OMG! Love the cool, raw space, the wood tables and the mismatched chairs!
