Aurora and Jon are totally my kind of peeps. This B+G wanted an intimate ceremony followed by a rockin' party. And you know what, bridey? That's exactly what they had... A huge celebration! Apparently, their wedding day was widely anticipated as they have been together for quite some time, leaving their guests anxiously awaiting the big day. The cool thing is that they had the best of both worlds; moments of intimacy and then moments surrounded by friends and family. See? You can have it both ways! You just have to be smart with your wedding planning!
Bridey, the colorful elements of this wedding will do nothing more than leave you smiling. So, take note. Seriously, Aurora and Jon's wedding is a kickass example of having exactly the wedding you want without the bullshit. LOVE IT!!! Enjoy!
Fans and flowers, baby... Fans and flowers...Aurora, you're the cutest! I love how you're trying not to laugh/cry.A different way to express the joining of two families.Such amazing embraces!OMG... Could ya' bust over the cuteness here??Aurora, your necklace is kickass! I love that it's pink! I love that it goes beautifully with your bouquet!
Meet Pari and Gavin. They are the beautiful couple shown in the photograph above. I think it's quite fitting that Pari's tattoo says "so it goes" considering that according to their talented photographer, John Bosley, the B+G were super laid back and in love. In fact, I love what John wrote about Pari and Gavi so much, that I am going to let him take over. Bridey, you should be lucky enough to have one of your vendors describe you and your sig other like this. Because this is the whole reason behind the party.
"I feel like there’s a lot that I could say about Pari and Gavin. To say that they are crazy in love would be an understatement. To say that they are completely comfortable and adorable in front of the camera would be obvious. To say that they are two of the nicest people I’ve had the privilege of photographing would be the truth.Their wedding day has to be one of my favorites so far. Instead of weighing the day down with schedules and letting tradition control events, it was a light, carefree day full of smiles and laughter. Friends, family and good conversation took priority. Cakes got cut, toasts were made and bouquets got tossed, but tying it all together were the people who Pari and Gavin love most enjoying a beautiful day together."
I love how chill Pari is... Just sipping her coffee like it ain't no thing...That flower girl is beyond adorbs! And the flower crown? Priceless! Holy bright and gorgeous bouquet!Lots of foxes these days...So much better than the typical shoes I see with tuxedos!I think it's awesome that these girls are having fun! Can't you just hear Pari saying, "OMG! I'm getting married!"?WOW!
Bridey, I totally cracked up when I received this wedding submission! Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful wedding with a ton of fantastic décor and color (I mean, there's a dragon for God's sake!). But, the very talented photographer, Will Pursell, opened his dialogue with, "Leanne and Andrew love Halloween, zombies, scary things, alcoholic things... and animals." Funny, right? I mean, who doesn't love alcoholic things and zombies? I do! I do!! And just wait until you see the photographs of the animals!
Anyway, you read that right... I said dragon. Leanne and Andrew did an amazing job incorporating their heritage into their wedding. Leanne is Chinese and Andrew is Greek, and throughout the day, they celebrated both as their families came together as one. Okay, that's about as mushy as I get! Just enjoy this fun-filled, fall wedding complete with a kickass dragon!!
Any guesses as to the wedding colors? Love the flasks! I'll take whatever is inside...It really doesn't get much cuter than that, right?Leanne and Andrew are huge animal lovers. I love how the kitty is just hanging out on her dress! They were married at the Unitarian Church in Vancouver.Every time I see this pic, I keep thinking the guests are throwing petals at the B+G! But, it's just the altar flowers.Whoa.HA! Love it!Bridey, if your groom isn't looking at you like this, then it ain't meant to be...I just had a baby heart attack. Please don't fall... Amazing shot of the cityscape and the Vancouver mountains!Totally lovin' the fall décor! It's festive and fun!
Sara and James have four children. FOUR! And, they still like each other enough to get married! I mean... I have two kids and there are days that I want to tell my hus to "suck it" and slam the door in his face! As some of you may know, kids definitely bring out the best and the worst in a couple, and looking at Sara and James, it's clear to me that their kids bring out the best in them.
These two got married in the East Ayton Church before heading off to Betton Farm to celebrate with their friends and family. And when you see the pics, you will see that although their reception was quite beautiful, the wedding was nothing short of a kick ass party! Hand cuffs (yup!), booze and mood lighting certainly get the party going that's for sure! Enjoy the inspiration, both aesthetically and emotionally!
I am OB SES SED with Sara's dress! It's the perfect mix of princess and wedding...Um... Those are silk. Right? I would have never guessed!Sara! You're stunning!Such a dapper groom!Cut it out! Would you look at how happy Sara is to see James! This is what it's all about, bridey! Quick! Let's get away to snap some pics!I love how much they laugh together!!Stunning decor! Pretty cake!Again... Look at Sara's face! FUCKING LOVE IT!
Tanya and Travis met when they were ten years old in dance class. And now? They are two of the most sought after dancers in the country. True story. Google them. I did (or just click on the links I dropped into their names). OMG! I love having celebrities on BB! But, I also love a good story, and meeting when you're ten years old and then getting married, is pretty awesome! Right? Definitely not the norm...
Bridey, this destination wedding is really something... There is such beauty and personality strewn throughout that I had a hard time narrowing down the pics I wanted to share today. An added bonus? Kickass photos of the groom getting ready! You'll see. If that FAB tux in the pic above doesn't give you a glimpse... So, bridey, enjoy this cool and beautiful wedding. I did!
The lace detail in this wedding gown is absolutely stunning. WOW!Tanya, you're STUN NING! Simply gorgeous! Lovin' the hot pink toes with the blue shoes. Hi Travis. You're damn sexy.Yup! That's a custom tux that Travis designed (with the help of Trend Custom Tailors). I'll be honest, not many men would rock this tux the way Travis did...Tanya made the boutonnieres. Well, you know, she made the shells into boutonnieres.Wow. That look! To Travis, there is nobody else in the room...Tanya made the bouquets too! How fucking awesome are those?!I don't know what's in it, but I want one!DAMN! There's a reason both Travis and Tanya sought after dancers!
When two bartenders marry, they get married at a bar. Right? Well, that's what Caitlin and Dustin did! They got married at the Brass House in Austin, Texas (Dustin used to work there), and apparently, it was the first wedding to take place at the BH. And, based on the fabulous pics, I doubt it will be the last. It's quite clear that every.single.person had an incredible time celebrating with Caitlyn and Dustin. It was laid back and fun (and based on what I've heard about the bride, she's clearly Bitchless!), with a kickass band!
Family and friends contributed to the ease of Caitlin and Dustin's wedding day with a DIY cake (which happens to be stunning), flowers and the fucking awesome balloon drop. The best part? Caitlin said that her wedding day was "exactly" what she wanted and that it was "perfect". I mean... Isn't that the goal, bridey? So, enjoy all of the special treats in this cool wedding! I did (especially when all the groomsmen dropped trou... true story).
Yup! TWO dresses! I don't know which one I love more!Incredible detail...You look beautiful, Caitlin!DIY cake. I know... Right? It's FAB!Gotta have your dogs in your wedding, and they must be dressed for the part!Ceremony on stage. Priceless.Yeah... There's some boob grabbing! And, I love it!
Aren't you dying over Jessica's hair? I mean the length, and the pure gorgeousness of the curls + the purple flower are enough to give me some serious hair envy. But, aside from the stunning nature of the bride, can we talk about how Aaron is looking at Jessica? Right? His face exudes utter joy; utter happiness. And Jessica? Well, you can tell, even by the back of her head, that she is smiling from ear to ear at Aaron. That, my dear bridey is what getting married is about... Utter joy and happiness.
Jessica and Aaron met while Jessica was waitressing. Talk about a tip! Meeting the love of your life is a pretty awesome way to end your shift! Right?? The two are avid travelers, so it seemed only natural for Aaron to propose to Jessica while in Tuscany, Italy surrounded by its vast beauty. As for the wedding, the B+G returned to Hawaii to say their vows (they currently live in Guam), and the majority of items were DIY, including the ENTIRE sweet table (WOW!). Yup! The bride made all of the desserts herself, and her FAB wedding planner plated them on platters out of reused glassware. That's some serious dedication! Anyway... Enjoy the AMAZE deets of Jessica and Aaron's wedding!
Bling bling.Jessica, you look sensational, and so at ease.Beautiful. Just beautiful.LOVE IT!!!! That look is absolutely priceless! What a fabulous idea for the programs! I love the benches and rose petal lined aisle. This pic... OMG... This pic... I love it so much.
OMG! Just wait until you see Emily and John's send-off! Seriously! It's something that in all of my experience planning weddings I have never seen! Stumped? I'll give you a few hints. See those neon running shoes? Well, they're going to need them. And, it's something that I, nor my sig other, would ever do in a million years (well, not without making complete asses out of ourselves)! Figure it out yet? No? Well, don't worry! Scroll down to the very last pic, and you will see just how phenomenal Emily and John's send-off was!
Anyway, besides the fucking FAB send-off, the DIY deets and the sheer whimsical feel of pretty much every single detail of Emily and John's wedding day, you bridey, will fall in love with the whole package. As I was putting this post together, I found myself getting completely lost in the soft colors, the beautiful day and the nearly perfect execution. So, have at it! It's just so good!
Amazing dress, and fantastic beaded sash! It's just so lovely!Whimsy, right?I am OB SES SED with the B+G! Obsessed! I LOVE how they walked each other down the aisle!Perfect bubbles.Yeah... You know it looks good!! I'll have two, please!Super light and airy...GORGE cake! Totally amazing (and you know I love the "B"!!)!
I love this B+G! I love their style, and I love how they integrated so much of who they are as a couple into their wedding. I preach it every week, bridey, and Bridget and Brian practiced what I preached! They stayed true to who they are had a fucking awesome wedding! The scenery, the adorable kiddo, the beautiful ceremony and the cool ass reception say it all! There is so much inspiration within this post that I am going to shut up and let you get to it! Enjoy!
I'm kinda obsessed with this wedding gown. That beading! OMG!!Bridget, this is a stunning shot! You look sensational!Um... Look at that cutie!!I mean... How cute is he??!! Love the bow tie!!I think somebody is stealing Bridget & Brian's show! Right?Amazing bouquet!LOVE LOVE LOVE the black bridesmaids dresses! Each a little different, and all totally FAB!Okay... Let's go get married!
Look how beautiful!!! Seriously, could ya' bust? Totally reminds me of my fantasy bachelorette party post!! Now, imagine getting married on a mountain top, and then partying the night away at this beautiful venue. Right? Can I get a, "fuck yeah"?!! Seriously, talk about a memorable evening (or weekend!)! And, know what I absolutely love about Jessi (and Nick)? This girl had the balls to get married outside (as in host the ceremony outside!!) in March! WOW! That's pretty impressive and unique! Although, when you see all the incredible deets, bridey, you won't be too surprised.
Pepper, with Pepper Nix Photography, (my new FAVE and FAB photographer!) asked the bride quite a few questions about her wedding plans, overall experience, etc. My favorite? Scroll down and see Jessi's advice for future brides.... Clearly, Jessi was a Bitchless Bride! Enjoy!
Hello GORGEOUS canary diamond... WOW!!!I love this photograph...OBSESSED with the shoes and the gold toes! Why a Mountain Wedding? Nick and I love to ski. It is something we have been doing since we were very young. Additionally, when we first started dating it was something we did together several times a week. We also love, love, love the mountains, fresh air, and fantastic perspective their majesty brings!
Lovin' the ass grab!I love the wedding dress and the snow boots!I had all my bridesmaids pick their own dresses. I told them blue, above the knee, and no sleeves. They all picked out dresses that were incredibly flattering and somehow it worked out. Additionally they all wore printed black tights. I bought them coats and boots to keep them warm. One of my bridesmaids, Christina, made muffs (instead of flowers) and we all had a fantastic time making crass poses with them. (HA! Obviously, BB LOVES this!)
So so so cute! What brand new elements did you bring to the day? Getting married outside in the snow. The planner was a bit apprehensive, but I stuck to my guns and am glad I did.Best pic ever!! Did you follow that tradition and if so, what did you use? Yes, yes, yes...Old was my mothers ring in my bouquet, new was my dress, borrowed was ring from my aunt Ginny that she wore on her wedding day, and blue was my shoes.
Any advice you have for future brides? Take a deep breath when you are up front and look at everyone who is supporting you. Two, don't get so caught up in the details that you forget what you are doing, joining two people together. Three, surround yourself with people you love...don't be obligated to invite people or put people in your bridal party who you don't want there. Four, hire someone to do things the day of...it was the best decision we made. Five, make a weekend of it. We did a pub crawl on Friday night and it was so fun. We had many activities and stayed together, so it felt like a vacation!
Look at this room, bridey! OMG! So warm and beautiful without being overdone!Such a romantic couple! What did you serve? A sit-down plated dinner of our signature pistachio nut encrusted Utah trout with local wild mushroom and truffle mashed potatoes, grilled filet mignon and a vegan friendly grilled polenta cake napoleon with a smoked tomato puree. We wanted something less traditional, so we opted for a brown cake with swirls. Honestly, Nick and I were hanging out with my aunt and she asked us a couple questions about what we liked and what we absolutely didn't want. In the end we told he she had complete creative control and the cake was deish! So many people came up to us and told us it was the best cake they had ever had, maybe it was because there was no fondant!
I have been lucky enough to be married to my hus for 10 years. TEN YEARS!! OMG! No, I’m not an old lady; I just took the leap at a young age! But, anyway… Although we eloped to Las Vegas, a few years ago on Bitchless Bride, I wrote about what my fantasy wedding would have been had we decided to be a bit more “traditional”. And while I would still love for Prince to play at the reception, I have to admit, when I saw Julie and Deneb’s wedding submission come through, I think that perhaps I’ve changed my mind because their wedding is exactly what I would want mine to be, today.
Andrea, the talented photographer, shot this wedding in Gavi, Italy (in the Piedmont region, not too far from Milan) at a venue called L’Ostellier. Um, not only is this a beautiful location, but also, they make their own wine!! A MAZ ING! (My hus and I honeymooned in Italy, and I swear I could have stayed there for the rest of my life!) Julie and Deneb’s wedding was not only stunning, but amazingly romantic… Scroll down… You’ll see! Bridey, if a destination wedding is your plan, I highly suggest Gavi, Italy!! Enjoy!
I'm absolutely OB SESS ED with the invitations!!! Julies's mom made her dress. Talk about DIY!!! It's incredibly beautiful! This is a first for me. I have never seen a photograph of somebody cutting a wedding dress (on the day of the wedding). Although, I am assuming that it's Julie's mom, and considering that she made the dress, I guess it's okay!!The flowers are stunning, but look beyond them... That's one hell of a backdrop!!!Friends of the B+G...Julie's dad officiated the wedding... Sniff sniff...You'll see...
I really, really love this wedding. I know I tend to say that a lot when I post weddings on Bitchless Bride, but you know what? I only post what I love, and what I think you will love too, bridey... And, this is no exception! Just wait until you see all of the goodies in store for you! So, get ready to pin your heart out because these pics are chock full of some serious inspiration!
Dana and Glenda put together this stunning wedding filled with juicy DIY touches (OMG! Wait until you see the brooch bouquet!!), cool ass décor and tasty tid bits all the way down to the superhero bow ties (and socks) the groomsmen wore. Right? I am absolutely in love with the escort cards, and everything alcoholic (you'll see what I mean!). So, bridey... Are you ready to be inspired? Good! Ready, set, go!I'm drooling over the hair...Are you fucking kidding me? LOOK at this GORGEOUS bouquet! Holy DIY...So sweet. My eyes are welling as I type...SUCH a great idea... And beautifully done too!So happy together... Fabulous photograph!Look up! Okay... Now, look down!!! I know... I want the shoes too. Those are some super unique escort cards!
Meet Brittany and Nico. They are the FAB headless couple photographed above. And you know what? I'm not the only one who thinks they're fabulous. You see, I specifically asked that photographers submit their favorite weddings for me to post on Bitchless Bride, and the very talented Ashley Kidder of Urban Safari Photography, Ltd. gave me Brittany and Nico.
Ashley submitted this amazing Red Rocky Denver wedding not just because of the sensational details, but because each and every vendor Brittany and Nico touched said that same thing... That they LOVED this couple! And you will fall in love with them too, bridey. Do they have impeccable taste, genius wedding color selection, outstanding DIY creations, and fucking kickass shoes (you'll see)? Yes, but you know what else? Warmth and sincerity are exuded in every single photograph.
First of all, magnificent dress. Secondly, those awesome shoes? Brittany's sister wore them at her wedding. Hello something borrowed!Talk about stunning ranunculus in the rich yellow! Brittany, you look absolutely striking! What did I tell you about the shoes?!!! Was I right? I mean...Holy bouquet Batman!!! Specifically, the bouquet consists of dahlia, ranunculus, yarrow, craspedia, berzillia berries, vibernum berries, hydrangea, and dusty miller.Check out the scenery. Totally breathtaking.I love this photograph! Such a fun way to make sure you get a photograph of everybody who attended the wedding!Nico is wearing a cool tie.See ya' later Red Rocks! On to the more urban scenery!
Allow me to introduce you to Monique and Aaron. Aren't they a beautiful couple? Seriously, both have amazingly bright blue eyes, gorgeous auburn hair, and incredible taste. Not only in their significant others, but in how they chose to incorporate eveything they loved into one day. Bridey, as you dive into these cool ass pics, I want you to think about everything that is important to you, and how you can build it into your wedding. I mean, your wedding is meant to be about you and your partner, and it's so easy to get wrapped up in the craziness of the planning that we forget what it's all about.
So, don't. Don't forget. Don't forget to make your wedding about what's important. The two of you! Alright, enough outta me! Time to enjoy the Monique and Aaron's lovely wedding.
Monique, that's one hell of a tattoo!! And your figure looks AWES!I mean... Awwww... Gotta have a little kitty love on your wedding day!!Ta-Da!!! I love the explosion of color! Such a FAB backdrop!Wow! What a babe!! Monique, you look beautiful! This is too cute. Look how happy Monique and Aaron are to see their pup!!!Either those flowers are super potent, or somebody must have said something mushy...
Brideys, do me a favor. I want you to scroll down and take a look under "Industry Peeps" specifically, the event designer. Notice anything? Yeah, the bride designed this beautiful wedding. Not an industry peep, but the bride!! And I cannot get over all of the kickass details she incorporated into her wedding! Seriously, I love the framed photographs you see in the opening pic, but I also love how they are hanging from the tree.
Soooo... Erika and Nathan got married at their private residence in Southern California. And not only do I love that they got married at their home, but I love how they took so many steps to create a marriage between their home and their wedding... Pretty fucking fantastic, right? Between the lovely DIY elements (thank you Erika) all the way down to the rustically AWESOME wedding cake, I just cannot get enough of this wedding. And neither will you.
Gorgeous bouquet! And a gorgeous bride!Erika! I LOVE your stunning veil!!I'm sorry, but could you bust? Amazing first look pics and amazing kiss!If it weren't weird, then I'd totally hang this in my house. FAB centerpieces! Just FAB!!!
Um... Would you ever guess that there is a parking lot behind Julie and Chris? No, for real. There is a parking lot behind them. I know, RIGHT? I mean, all I see is a beautiful couple with bright, fabulous flowers in the background. Don't you? How cool is that? Where are the cars? Where are the lights? Seriously, how lucky for them that they chose such a kickass, cool photog who brought smoke emitters to mask a rather less than perfect backdrop. That my friends is the work of the talented Amy Aiello. An out of the box, forward thinking photographer. Want to see more of these shots? Just wait, bridey!
I mean, there are so many different elements to this wedding, that as you scroll through the pics , you may very well feel as though you are seeing three different weddings showcasing the same couple. Like... really. This wedding encapsulates some seriously cool stuff. The B+G are from Chicago (so is the photog) and had a super chill, low key wedding. They didn't have a plated dinner, but instead opted for heavy passed hors d'oeuvres, some delicious cupcakes and tons of dancing... Totally my kind of wedding reception! Not only that, but decor was mostly DIY (down to the homemade jam given away as favors), and there was even a cameo appearance by the St Louis Cardinals' mascot! SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!
So, without further ado, start scrolling, bridey!
I am such a sucker for sunflowers. (Side note... the very first flower my hus gave me was a sunflower.)That wedding dress and the shrug! LOVE IT!The seventh grader in me wants to laugh at the sign. But, I won't. I'm a grown up!Beautiful shot.
I love this wedding. And I think that I love it so much because I would never be able to do all of the DIY aspects captured so beautifully in this wedding. My style? Pay somebody to do it for me. Yeah, not quite DIY. More like HSEDIFY (Have Somebody Else do it For You). But, you already know that about me. Anyway, Stephanie and Tyler are not only adorable, but their taste? AWESOME! (OMG, I almost said awesome-sauce... Don't even ask!) I love that the bridesmaids dresses are all completely different and instead of fancy shoes, they are rockin' cowboy boots, and that the groomsmen are wearing multicolored bow ties and carnation boutonnieres.
So, bridey, if you are a DIYer, then this wedding will definitely give you some FAB ideas to incorporate into your own wedding planning. I mean, they say that imitation is the best form of flattery, so imitate away!
Love this shot! I love those bridesmaid dresses! And the boots? FABU!!Go ahead... Pin it!Kickass bow ties! Adorable bunch of dudes too!Simple, easy, and cool (and totally functional too!).I love everything about this pic! And a little girl in cowboy boots? SO CUTE!Time to grab your notebook, brideys! Let the DIY BEGIN! Look down...
I heard a DIY story the other day that just made me want to curl up in a ball and cry for this bride. Really... I wanted to cry for her. Because while DIY is FAB for several of you, some of us just don't have the knack for doing anything ourselves. Take me for instance... I have never pretended to be a DIYer, and for those of you who really know me (and I mean, like for reals), then you know that I surround myself with people who get shit done and know what they're doing, as opposed to doing ANYTHING myself. Now, that's not to say that I am lazy, or don't want to be a DIYer, it's just that anything I attempt to do myself (basically anything that requires building, gluing or reading directions) turns to shit. The good news? I know this about myself, and therefore I got off of the DIY train long ago.
I am a fantastic event planner because I love logistics, I have a keen eye for design, and I get off on seeing all of the pieces come together. But, that does not translate to doing anything myself, so bridey, if you are like me, never fear, you can still have an amazing wedding DIY or not. As for why I wanted to cry for this poor bride... Well, it is a long, crazy story.
In a nutshell? The bride completely underestimated how long it was going to take her to complete the centerpieces (all 22 of them) for the guest tables, and because of this, she ended up DIYing her own makeup (which thankfully,
